Atlantis Hallway near Gate Room/Gate Room:
"Just think a week from today I will be marrying the most beautiful woman in the galaxy," Sheppard said.
Teyla smiled at Sheppard as they made their way to the gate room. Once all of Sheppard's team was in the gate room and the Stargate was dialed, they made their way to the planet.
The Alien Planet:
Sheppard's team reached the location on the planet that Zelenka and Lorne were located at.
"What do you need help with?" Sheppard asked.
"I have been trying to translate this text," Zelenka said, "but there is references, at least from what I gather, to some text that is somewhere in this place. Text doesn't say where."
"This place is huge and that written text could be anywhere," Lorne said, "and if we find that written text McKay could work on that one while Zelenka continues with this one."
"Ronon you're with me. Teyla you're with Rodney," Sheppard said, "We'll radio when we have found something."
Lorne told Sheppard yes sir while Zelenka said thank you. Zelenka then went back to translating the text. Sheppard and Ronon went off in one direction, while Teyla and McKay went off in the opposite direction. Teyla and McKay went down one hallway and found no sign of the text. Teyla was little bit ahead of McKay, so she went around the corner first, but when McKay rounded the corner, he found no sign of Teyla. He searched for Teyla for a little bit before radioing Sheppard.
Sheppard and Ronon were walking down a hallway and Sheppard said, "Let's go down these stairs."
As they were going down the stairs, McKay came over the radio and let them know that Teyla went missing. Sheppard stops on the stairs and asks McKay what his location is, and when McKay tells him, he and Ronon head in that direction. While McKay waits for the others, he keeps searching for Teyla and even tried to radio her again, but receives no answer again. McKay decides to walk to the end of the hallway to do another check for Teyla and he sees a short hallway worth checking, but as he's checking it, he finds himself somewhere else. By the time Sheppard and Ronon got to the location McKay gave them, McKay was nowhere to be found.
"McKay come in. Teyla come in," Sheppard said and then to Ronon, "Try your radio."
Ronon tried his radio to see if he could pick up McKay or Teyla and then he said, "Nope."
"They must be in an area where comms don't work," Sheppard said and then he radioed Lorne to let him know hat was going on.
"I'll inform my team to be on the look out for Teyla and Dr. McKay," Lorne said over his radio.
"Let me know the minute you have something," Sheppard said over his radio.
Lorne told him he would and Sheppard said, "Sheppard out."
Sheppard and Ronon went back to looking for McKay and Teyla. During the search, Sheppard radioed Zelenka to see if he had anymore information on this place.
"I think I have found out what this place is," Zelenka said over the radio, "It's some sort of maze meets escape room, but that is the only important thing I have found so far."
"Keep at it and let me know if you find anything else important," Sheppard said.
Sheppard and Ronon then resumed their search for McKay and Teyla.
In the area where Teyla ended up, there was no visible door from what she could see, once she got up from the floor.
"John come in," Teyla said over the radio, but she got nothing, so she tried McKay and Ronon. She had no luck with them either, and went back to looking for some sort of exit.
In the area McKay ended up, he was walking around looking for clues as to some sort if exit. He tried his radio moments before and had trouble reaching anyone.
Back by Sheppard and Ronon, Sheppard had gotten out the handheld scanner and was using it to help find McKay and Teyla, but so far it wasn't picking up anything. Ronon was about to turn around and say something to Sheppard, but he was gone.
Ronon radioed Lorne and said, "We have a problem Sheppard has disappeared. I'm on my way back and we can come up with a plan."
Lorne acknowledged Ronon and then waited for Ronon to come back before doing anything. Some time when by and Ronon hadn't shown up, so Lorne tried to radio him, but had no luck.
"Doc I'm going to dial Atlantis and let them know what's going on here," Lorne said to Zelenka, "I'll be right back."
Zelenka would keep his eyes and ears open for anything during Lorne's absence as he continued to work on translating the writing.
In the area where Sheppard was, the first thing he tried to do was radio Ronon and when that didn't work, he tried Lorne and Zelenka, but that didn't work either. The next thing he did was look for some sort of exit, but he found no obvious exit. Sheppard then remembered something that Zelenka had said, and that was that this was some sort of maze meets escape room, so he started looking for clues that would lead to an exit. He noticed a lose piece of stone on the wall, and he tried to fix it, but all it did was open a door to somewhere else. Sheppard cautiously went through the doorway to see where it would led.
Back in the area where Teyla was, she was looking for clues that would help her leave the room she was stuck in. As she walked around, she stopped for a second to tighten her shoelace, when the floor and part of the wall started to rotate. The next thing Teyla knew was that she was in a different room.
In McKay's area, he was still searching for clues when he noticed something on the wall, but it was faint, so got out his flashlight. He shined his flashlight on the wall, and saw that it was pictures and writing, that looked like some kind of puzzle that needed to be figured out before a person could move on. McKay stared at the wall and tried figure out the puzzle, but he was getting annoying at the time it was taking to do so.
"Oh come on," McKay said to himself.
Eventually McKay figured out the puzzle and was able to move on.
In Sheppard's area, he would find himself in a small room with a curved staircase. Sheppard looked around the room for clues as to where he should go next and the staircase was the only option, so he carefully and cautiously went down the stairs.
In Ronon's area, he had gotten lucky because the first room he was in, had a ladder that went down. The ladder seemed like the only option out of the room because of how small the room was, so Ronon went down the ladder, after making sure it was not a trap of some kind.
Back in McKay's area, he had moved on to the next room, and was walking around checking out the room, when a doorway opened up. Flashlight in hand, he walked over to the doorway as the room seemed dark, but perhaps a light would come on when he went into the room. After shining a light into the room to check things out, McKay went into the room. Once in the room, a small light did come on, but it did not light up the whole room just a small part. While in the room, he decided to try the radio again, and rather then try anyone person he just sent out a general message.
"This is McKay. Can anyone hear me?" McKay asked over the radio.
It took a little while, but Zelenka managed to come over the radio to acknowledge McKay.
"Finally. I got a hold of someone," McKay said, "Radek, Did Sheppard and Ronon find Teyla?"
Zelenka told McKay all that had happened.
"Since I was able to get a hold of you, it's entirely possible the radios work in certain areas only," McKay said, "which means I am in one now, but Sheppard, Teyla and Ronon must not be yet."
"That would make sense," Zelenka said over the radio, "I did find something interesting in the text. There is one level that is like a long hallway and if you can get to that, maybe you will run into the others."
"Does it say where this level is?" McKay asked.
"All it says is down," Zelenka replied, "as for an exit, I'm still looking."
McKay asked Zelenka about a map, and Zelenka told him this piece of text he was looking at contained no map and if there was one, it was somewhere else.
"Just let me know when you get information on an exit," McKay said.
Zelenka let him know that and he then let him know that he would keep trying Sheppard, Teyla and Ronon as well, so they could double their efforts. McKay told him good thinking and then let him get back to the text, so he could continue to make his way down to the long hallway level, and hopefully run into the others.
Back where Sheppard was, he was still going down the stairs, and he wondered when the staircase was going to end, but eventually it did. At the end of the stairs was tiny room. While in the tiny room he was radioed buy Zelenka.
"Colonel Sheppard come in," Zelenka said over the radio.
"Sheppard here," Sheppard replied.
"I just thought you should know that Rodney was able to contact me, and he says it's possible that radios only work in certain areas," Zelenka said, "I haven't tried Teyla or Ronon again."
Sheppard told him that makes sense and asked what else McKay said. Zelenka told him and told him what he told McKay about the text.
"I'll try and radio McKay once I have left this tiny room. Sheppard out," Sheppard said before he looked around for a way to leave the room, that didn't involve going back up the staircase.
In the area where Ronon was, Ronon had made his why down the ladder, which landed him in a room with narrow entrance hallway. He carefully went through it, and when he got to the other side, Zelenka came over the radio. Zelenka told him everything he told Sheppard.
"All you need to do is get to a long hallway, and if you do that should run into the others," Zelenka said over the radio and then he told him down was the only thing about the location.
"I'll keep making my way down. Ronon out," Ronon said.
In Teyla's area, the room she ended up in had minimal lighting and a spiral staircase. She went over to the staircase and inspected it to make sure it wasn't a trap. Once Teyla deemed it wasn't a trap, she went down the stairs.
In McKay's area, he had made it thorough several rooms since he had talked to Zelenka, so he decided to try reaching Teyla.
"Teyla this is McKay," McKay said.
"Teyla here," Teyla said over the radio.
McKay told Teyla everything that was going on, so she was up to date on the situation. He made sure to tell her about the long hallway, and that down was the only information on its location that Zelenka could find.
"I will make my way there. Teyla out," Teyla said.
In Ronon's area, he kept making his way down, and got to room with narrow passageway on one side of the room, and if wasn't careful, he could fall into what looked to be dirty water. What Ronon didn't know, was that there was two more rooms to go before he got to the long hallway. He carefully walked along the narrow passageway, and along the way a very small piece of the floor fell into the dirty water, so Ronon quickened his pace. He made it safely across and then begun looking for a way that would led him out of the room and on to the next. While looking, a section of a wall opened up as if Ronon had triggered something in the room. Ronon carefully went on to the next room. The next room was medium size, but not too big. The pathway in it was a zigzag formation, so Ronon was zigging and zagging his way across the room until he reached the other side. there was still one more room to go before he reached the long hallway room, but he still had to figure out how to get out of the this room first.
In Sheppard's area, there was a shelf with boxes on it in the tiny room. There were 4 of them and the boxes had numbers and symbols on them. Sheppard studied the boxes for a moment, and thought could it be as simple as opening them up in the order they sat on the shelf, so he tried that first and when that didn't work, he tried the reverse, but it failed too. He then started trying random patterns that weren't the first two he tried. It took a little while, but he did eventually find a pattern that worked, because part of the wall in the room slid to the right. Sheppard cautiously made his way into the room, which was a little bigger than the last room. In this room, there was another shelf with 4 boxes that were shaped like triangles, and Sheppard figured like the last boxes they needed to be in a certain pattern, so he looked at the boxes for symbols and numbers, but they only had numbers. Sheppard tried to figure out this pattern by using his knowledge of sudoku, and the fact that he could have been Mensa. It took a little while, but it worked as part of the wall slid down and to the left. The next room was somewhat long, but not so long that would it forever, which meant it was a good bet that Sheppard was getting close to the long hallway. Near the end of the hallway there yet another shelf with 7 half circle shaped boxes that had symbols and numbers on them. He did the same thing he did with the last two sets of boxes, and that was to figure out the random pattern to open the boxes, so an exit from the room would open up and he could move to the next room. Like usual it took a little bit of time, but he managed to get an exit to open up. What Sheppard didn't know about the next room, was that its exit led to the long hallway that McKay told him about. This room was a little shorter than the last room and contained a shelf with boxes on it. These boxes were oval shaped and only had symbols on them. Sheppard looked at the symbols and did the same thing he did with the last three rooms. Once he figured out the pattern, an exit from the room opened up and he left the room. After he exited the room, he was in a very long room, which meant has must have reached the long hallway, because the next thing he heard was Ronon.
"Sheppard," Ronon said as he made his way over to Sheppard.
Sheppard stopped, waited for Ronon and then said, "Let's find Rodney and Teyla and then we can find a way out of here."
Back in the area where Teyla was, she had gone through a few rooms since she had talked to someone. She quickly tried her radio but had no luck. Teyla then began to look around for a way out, and found a small section of the room hidden by a wall. She walked over there and found a way out. She walked through the archway and into the next room, only for the archway to close behind here. The next room was a small room, and once she was in the room and archway door completely closed, a mist started to fill the room. The mist started to make Teyla sleepy, and she fell to the ground in such a spot that caused a door to open. That door was a door to the long hallway. Teyla now lay unconscious on the floor and the mist that was in the room was gone.
Sheppard and Ronon made their way down the long hallway looking for McKay and Teyla. Just a short time ago they tried to radio McKay and Teyla, but had no success so they tried again.
"Teyla come in," Sheppard said and then, "Rodney come in."
There was no response even when Ronon tried, and then they saw someone coming out of a room, so they quickly tried there radios again, and Sheppard managed to get McKay. McKay told them to wait where they were and he would come to them.
"Rodney have you heard from Teyla?" Sheppard asked as McKay approached him and Ronon.
"No not recently," McKay replied, "but I did manage to some time ago so she knows to come here. Why?"
"Well Ronon and I just tried her twice since we've been in this hallway, and haven't had any luck," Sheppard replied.
"Well she's probably in room where radios don't work," McKay said, "Well since we know that radios work in this hallway, why don't we split up. Two of us go in one direction and the other one in the other direction.
"Ronon you back the way we came and McKay and I will go forward," Sheppard said, "Let's radio when we find her."
Ronon nodded his head and went back the way he came, while McKay and Sheppard went forward. In the direction that McKay and Sheppard were going, the hallway seemed to go on forever. They had gotten about 10 minutes from where McKay had exited, and still no sign of Teyla until McKay noticed something.
McKay walked over to what he noticed and said, "Sheppard over here."
Sheppard walked quickly over to where McKay was, and then radioed Ronon that they had found Teyla. He turned to McKay and said, "Here help me get her out to the hallway."
McKay helped Sheppard slide her carefully out of the room, and Sheppard checked for a pulse.
"Her pulse is good and she doesn't seem to have any visible injures," Sheppard said and then he tried to wake her up, but had no luck, so he picked her up and would carry her the rest of the way, until they got back to Atlantis, "We need to get Teyla back to Atlantis."
McKay radioed Zelenka to see if he found anything on an exit yet. Zelenka told him no, but did tell him about a huge lab one level down and about some staircase that leads to a small room, but the text didn't make it clear whether the two were related. As soon as McKay had finished talking to Zelenka, Ronon had reached them. McKay then told him what Zelenka had told him.
"Let's look for a staircase and start from there," Sheppard said.
Sheppard's team walked down more of the hallway that seemed to have no end in sight, until they managed to find a staircase. The first person to go down the spiral staircase was Ronon, once the staircase was deemed safe. The next person to go down the stairs was Sheppard carrying Teyla, and he was followed by McKay. At the end of the spiral staircase, was a small room with a door that had a control panel next to it. McKay went straight to the control panel to see if he could get the door open, but he couldn't so he took off the cover of the panel. It took McKay a few minutes, but he managed to get the door open. The door the room led to, was a huge room that looked like a lab. McKay started looking around the lab, but Sheppard stopped him.
"Let's try to find an exit to this room," Sheppard said.
Ronon and McKay started looking around the room, when Ronon found something that looked like it could be door.
"I think I found something," Ronon sais.
McKay walked over to Ronon to see what he had found, and it had the same type of control panel as the other one. This time he just took the cover off the panel and messed around until he got the door open, but it wasn't the one near the panel. The door that opened was halfway across the room, and revealed another staircase that only went up.
"Interesting. Could be a security measure," McKay said as he walked to the open door.
Just like the last staircase Ronon went first, then Sheppard carrying Teyla and lastly McKay. The staircase seemed to go on forever, but eventually they reached the top of the stairs where there was another small room, one that was slightly bigger than the last small one. This room had an archway, but it was blocked by a force field.
McKay stared looking around for some time. It took him a few minutes and when he found it, he said, "This one looks a lot more complicated then the others. This could take a while."
While McKay worked on the control panel, Sheppard did a quick check on Teyla, who was still unconscious. As far as Sheppard could tell, Teyla's condition remained unchanged.
"Rodney how is coming with force field?" Sheppard asked.
"Nothing yet," McKay replied, but then something happened, "Well it seems like 2 of the force fields are down, but I'll keep working."
A few minutes passed and something else happened.
"The 2 force fields that went down just went back up and another 2 went down," McKay said, then he went back to working and then he said, "Well this one went down. It's as if I have to find the right sequence for all of them to go down, otherwise only certain ones do."
"How much time is it going to take? Sheppard asked.
"I don't know," McKay replied, "Maybe someone could move one room ahead as they go down."
"Right now that option might be a little risky," Sheppard said, "Just keep working on it."
McKay went back to work on the control panel hoping he could find a sequence for the force fields to go down, that is if there even was one. It took McKay about 15 minutes, but he managed to find the right sequence for all the force fields.
"Let's move quickly in case these force fields go back up," Sheppard said.
All of them made there way through the force fields, although Sheppard was little slower then the others as he was carrying Teyla. They moved on to the next the area that was a metal bridge.
"I'll go across and make sure it's safe," Ronon said.
Sheppard agreed with Ronon's idea and then Ronon went across with caution.
"McKay you go next," Sheppard said after he saw Ronon get across safely.
McKay went across the bridge, and once he was across, Sheppard went across with Teyla.
"You know this reminds me of a movie I once saw on TV," McKay said.
"What movie was that? Sheppard asked.
"The characters were all together in this giant cube, and had to figure a way out, but in the end only one survived," McKay replied.
"Rodney would you try the comms and see if they work?" Sheppard asked.
McKay tried to radio Zelenka and managed to het him on the comms. He gave Zelenka an update on what was going on.
Once McKay was done talking to Zelenka, the four of them went down a semi long hallway, which was the only way to go after the bridge. They got some ways down the hallway, only to realize the direction they were going in was a dead end. They turned around and went the other way. This hallway was connected to another hallway in a zig-zag pattern. It took them a while, but they managed to make their way out.
"Now where to?" Sheppard asked.
"There's a door over there with a control panel, and then there's the pathway over there," McKay replied.
"I could check out the pathway, while McKay gets the door open?" Ronon asked.
"Do it, but be careful and quick," Sheppard replied.
Ronon left and a few minutes later returned and said, "This way."
McKay stopped working on the control panel and followed the others. At the end of the pathway was an archway, and then hallway that went left and right. The left led to a door some ways down, and right led to a curved section. Ronon went to the right to check it out, and came back to tell them this way. At the end of going right, down the hallway, Sheppard spotted one of Lorne's team members. Sheppard had the team member led them, so they could explain what happened and get Teyla back to Atlantis.
Lorne saw Sheppard's team coming and asked, "What happened?"
Lorne only knew what Zelenka had told him.
"No time I need to get Teyla back to Atlantis," Sheppard replied, "McKay stay here and explain it to him. Radek as soon as you're done with the text return to Atlantis."
Atlantis Gate Room/Infirmary:
Once Sheppard exited the Gate, he carries Teyla to the stretcher and set her down. He handed her weapon and his to a guard and followed Teyla to the infirmary. In the infirmary, Sheppard stood out of the way and let the medical team do their thing. About 10 minutes later Beckett walked over to Sheppard.
"How is Teyla Doc?" Sheppard asked.
"I have taken some blood and I'm going to run some tests on it," Beckett replied, "It's late why don't you get some rest. There's not really anything you can do for Teyla in the infirmary right now. Go, take care of Torren. I promise you the minute she wakes up you will be notified."
Sheppard thought about it for moment and as much as he would like to stay in the infirmary with Teyla, Beckett was right there was not much he could do, and Teyla would want him to take care of Torren.
"Thanks Doc," Sheppard said and then he went over to Teyla, kissed her forehead and then left the infirmary.
Sheppard and Teyla's Quarters:
When Sheppard entered his and Teyla's quarters, the babysitter told Sheppard that Torren was ready for bed, but still needed his teeth brushed. Sheppard thanked the babysitter, and then went to check in Torren, while the babysitter left for the night.
Sheppard walked into Torren's room and Torren asked, "Where's Mommy?"
"Mommy is in the infirmary, because she is sick, and the doctors are doing all they can to make her better," Sheppard replied.
"Can we go see her?" Torren asked.
"Not tonight. It's late," Sheppard replied, "Let's get your teeth brushed and do a potty check, so we can get you to bed."
Once Torren was in bed, Sheppard got in his pj's and laid on the bed trying to do some sudoku, but all he could thing about was Teyla, so he decided to read one of his comic books instead. He must have fallen asleep, because the next thing he knew was Torren was waking him up. He woke up and asked Torren what was wrong. Torren told him he had a bad dream. Sheppard got up, putting his comic book on his nightstand. he took Torren for a quick potty check and afterwards was about to put him back to bed, but then got an idea. He went into Torren's room and grabbed his blanket and stuffed animal penguin.
"You can sleep the rest of the night on your mother's side of the bed," Sheppard and then Torren climbed into bed.
Sheppard gave Torren his penguin and his blanket before getting into bed and going back to sleep. The next thing he knew, was someone from the infirmary was radioing him to tell him that Teyla was awake. He got up picked up his radio to answer it. He moved away from the bed, so he would not wake Torren. Sheppard told them he would be right there. He made quick work of putting on his boots and getting a babysitter for Torren. He then made his way to the infirmary.
The Infirmary:
Sheppard walked into the infirmary, and over to Teyla where Beckett was standing by.
"You can visit with Teyla, but don't stay long as there are a series of tests I would like to run, just to make sure that nothing more is wrong, but first I would like to speak to you," Beckett said to Sheppard.
Beckett and Sheppard stepped away from Teyla for a moment to talk, and Sheppard asked, "What did you want to see me about?"
"I ran Teyla's blood work and found traces of something that was most likely the cause of her being asleep. The traces were too small to accurately tell what it was," Beckett replied, "Thou Teyla did tell me, before you got here, that she did see some type of mist before she fell asleep, so it's a good bet that's the cause, but we won't ever know for sure.
"Thank you for letting me know," Sheppard said, "and I promise I won't stay long."
When Sheppard was done talking to Beckett, he walked over to Teyla and asked her how she felt.
"I feel fine, but I did wake up with a slight headache," Teyla said, "Doctor Beckett did give me something for it. How's Torren?"
"That's good," Sheppard replied, "He did wake up do to a bad dream, so I let him sleep on your side of the bed. A babysitter is watching him while I'm here, but he's still asleep, so he won't know I'm gone."
"What did you tell Torren about me being here?" Teyla asked.
"I told him you were sick and the doctors were working on making you better. I will tell him you're much better. Look I should probably get going as I promised Doctor Beckett I wouldn't stay long," Sheppard said and then he gave Teyla a kiss before saying, "I will check on you after lunch."
Teyla smiled at him and watched him leave the infirmary.
Sheppard and Teyla's Quarters:
Sheppard returned and the person babysitting Torren left. He then went over to get his watch to check the time, and since he had to be on duty in about 2 and half hours, there was no point in going back to sleep, so he did a quick check on Torren before going to take a shower. Sometime after Sheppard was showered and dressed, Torren woke up.
"Good Morning Torren," Sheppard said, "You should know I went to see Mommy and she's doing much better."
"Can we see Mommy?" Torren asked.
"You know I'll take you to see her tonight before you go to bed. Okay?" Sheppard said.
Torren told him okay and he got up, so that Sheppard could get him ready for the day, and so the two of them could eat breakfast.
The Infirmary:
Later that day after lunch and after Torren went down for a nap, Sheppard went to the infirmary to check on Teyla. Beckett saw Sheppard and walked over to him.
Sheppard saw Beckett and asked, "So how much longer will Teyla have to stay here?"
"All of the tests I did showed nothing out of the ordinary, but for safety, tonight and tomorrow night," Beckett replied, "so she'll be out of here in plenty of time for the wedding."
"That's good to hear Doc," Sheppard said before Beckett left and then he turned to Teyla, "because I would hate to have to delay the wedding as it would mess with the honeymoon I have planned."
"Are you still not going to tell me anything about it?" Teyla asked.
Sheppard told here nope and told her he would bring Torren by later before he gave her a kiss.
Later that night when Torren was ready for bed, Sheppard took him to the infirmary to see his mother. Torren brought with him a bag with some books in it. When they got to Teyla's bed, Sheppard picked up Torren and put him on the bed.
"Looks like someone is ready for bed," Teyla said to Torren.
"Story Mommy," Torren said after he gave her a hug.
Teyla noticed the bag of books Torren had brought with him, and picked out a book while Torren got comfy. Teyla then began to read him the book, and sometime before she reached the last page, Torren had fallen asleep, so Teyla closed the book and put it back in the bag.
"I guess I should get him to bed," Sheppard said before he gave Teyla a long kiss good night and picked up Torren.
Teyla handed Sheppard the bag with the books and Sheppard said, "We will see you tomorrow."
Teyla smiled at Sheppard, and he smiled back before he left carrying a sleeping Torren. Teyla watched the two of them leave, before closing her eyes and going to sleep.
Sheppard and Teyla's Quarters:
About 2 days later, Sheppard was getting Torren ready for bed and said, "Guess who's coming home?"
Torren told him Mommy and when he came out of the bathroom, ready for bed, the door opened and Teyla walk in and Torren ran over to Teyla. Teyla picked him up as Sheppard walked out of the bathroom. Sheppard noticed Teyla, walked over to her and gave her a quick kiss.
"Well since your home, I'll let you put him to bed," Sheppard said to Teyla and then to Torren, "Maybe you can convince your mother to read you two stories tonight."
"We shall see about that," Teyla said as she walked towards Torren's room to put him to bed.
As Teyla was putting Torren to bed, Sheppard went to get a gift he had for Teyla.
Once Torren was asleep, Teyla walked out only to find Sheppard sitting on the couch with a wrapped gift. She walked over to the couch and sat down.
"I got you a wedding a gift. It's just something I wanted to get you," Sheppard said.
Teyla unwrapped her gift and saw the word popcorn on it.
"It's Whirly Pop popcorn maker for the campfire. Now you can make popcorn on New Athos. I also got an electric Presto popcorn maker for here. When we are on our honeymoon, we can get some popcorn for these," Sheppard said.
Teyla put the gift aside and moved closer to Sheppard and said, "Thank you John."
"You are most welcome," Sheppard said, "I'm glad you love it."
Teyla leaned in and gave him a long kiss.
An Atlantis Corridor:
A large out of the way corridor location was chosen by Sheppard and Teyla for their wedding, which was a morning one. Some members of the expedition were handling any last minute set up in the corridor, where the wedding was, and the mess hall where the reception was going to happen. Once all that was taken care of, guests, some of the expedition and some of the Athosians, started to arrive. As the guests were arriving music was playing. Sheppard got all music playing for this from members of expedition and used what they had that fit.

Just before the pre wedding march song played, Sheppard, wearing his dress uniform, and Ronon, the person chosen to be his best man, arrived. The next thing that happened was the pre march song began to play. After that, the song for the wedding march started to play. First to walk down were the two people Teyla chose to be her bridesmaids, someone from Atlantis and an Athosian, second was Torren, who was the ringer bearer, 3rd was an Athosian girl chosen to be the flower girl, and lastly Teyla, who was wearing a purple dress with silver straps, her necklace and earrings were silver with a little bit of purple, silver colored shoes, and her hair was in an up do with light purple flowers in its. All Sheppard could think was wow and he smiled at Teyla. Once Teyla was at the alter, the officiant began. Some ways into the wedding it was time for the vows and Teyla went first.
"Whenever I was missing or captured, you didn't give up until I was safe. I know you will continue to do so for the rest of my life, and I will do the same for you. I know you will be there not just for me, but for Torren as well. You need me in your life, and I need you in mine. I love you John," Teyla said.
After Teyla said her vows, it was Sheppard's turn.
"Teyla I'm glad I came to the Pegasus Galaxy and met you. I'm glad I fell in love with you and asked you to marry me. You are everything I need in my life, now and forever. I will love you forever, and I don't know what I would do without you in my life. You and Torren are my family, and I will help you raise him like he was my own. You are one of the best things to happen in my life in a long time. I love you Teyla," Sheppard said.
The officiant then asked Teyla, "Do you Teyla Emmagen take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or worse, in sickness and in health until death do you part?"
"I do," Teyla said with a smile.
The officiant then asked Sheppard, "Do you John Sheppard take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or worse, in sickness and in health until death do you part?"
"I most certainly do," Sheppard said with a smile.
The next part of the wedding was the rings. Teyla went first and put the ring on Sheppard's finger, while saying with this ring I thee wed. Sheppard then did the same thing to Teyla.
The officiant then said, "I now pronounce you husband and wife."
Torren walked over to Sheppard, tugged on his pant leg and said, "You can kiss Mommy now."
Sheppard then planted a kiss on Teyla, while guest cheered and clapped. After that he picked up Torren, held him on his left side, and grabbed Teyla's left hand with his right hand, before they walked down the aisle. Sheppard at the end of the aisle, and gave Teyla another kiss before they headed to the mess hall for the reception.
The Mess Hall:
While at the reception, the babysitter kept an eye in Torren, so Sheppard and Teyla wouldn't have to. Once all the guests were at the reception, they offered their congratulations.
"Hope you like the Earth music I chose?" Sheppard asked Teyla.
"I'm sure I will. If they are as good as the one you played the other day," Teyla replied to Sheppard.
"I thought it would be the perfect song for out first dance, as for the other songs, they will be. Care to see if those dance lessons we had really paid off, before we do anything else?" Sheppard asked.
Teyla told him yes and Sheppard went to the person playing DJ for the reception. He then went back to Teyla and they got into dance mode. The song that played while they had their first dance was One Good Woman by Peter Cetera. While dancing, he twirled her, dipped her, gave her a kiss, and at one point Teyla put her head on his shoulder.
When the song was over, Sheppard asked, even though he knew the answer, "How did you get so good at dancing?"
All Teyla did was smile at him and he gave her another kiss. Other songs, among others, that played, some of which they danced to and the others they just listened to:

During the rest of the reception, Sheppard and Teyla cut the cake, which had chocolate layers, vanilla layers and some marble cake layers. There was also some cupcakes. The other food that was there was a mix of Athosian and Earth food, as well as some Athosian wine. Other things that happened were people giving there toasts. When the reception was almost over, Sheppard, Teyla and Torren headed back to their quarters to change. Torren would stay with McKay's sister Jeannie, while Sheppard and Teyla were on their honeymoon. They would get to Earth and back via the Stargate.
Sheppard and Teyla's Quarters:
While on the honeymoon, Sheppard showed Teyla why he liked ferris wheels, among other things. Near the end they picked up some popcorn for the poppers, got Torren some birthday gifts, and paid a quick visit to Sheppard's brother Dave. When they went to pick up Torren, Sheppard with Kaleb's help, took Torren to get some gifts for Teyla, so some time after they got back to Atlantis, he could show her the Earth holiday of Mother's Day.
When Teyla, Sheppard and Torren reached the door to their quarters and the door was open, Sheppard asked, "Say Torren how would you like to help me? Do you think you can push your suitcase inside?"
Torren nodded yes and pushed his suitcase, which had wheels, inside. Sheppard then told Teyla to wait right where she was as he took the rest of the bags in.
"Now let's see is there anything I'm forgetting? Oh right," Sheppard said and then he picked Teyla up, so he could carry her in. He then set her down, once inside, and the closed the door before saying, "That's everything."
Sheppard saw some stuff on the bed with a note, but that would have to wait as he saw Torren yawn. It was good thing they had tomorrow off.
"I guess we should get him ready for bed. You start the bath and I'll get his pajamas," Sheppard said as headed towards Torren's room.
Once Torren had a bath, teeth brushed, and a potty check, he was put to bed. Sheppard and Teyla then got ready for bed themselves. When Sheppard got over to the bed he picked up the note and read it out loud, so Teyla would know what it said. The note basically said that their wedding gifts were brought to their quarters, while they were gone, and put in one of the empty bedrooms. It said the box with the note contained a physical media version of the songs used for the wedding and the reception, as well as a digital copy to come soon.
"That was nice of them. You did a god job of picking out the music," Teyla said as Sheppard opened up the box and saw the CDs.
He put the note in the box, before closing it and then put it on his desk. He then got in bed on the right hand side while Teyla got in on the other side.
"Well I'm glad you enjoyed the music," Sheppard said before he leaned over and gave Teyla a kiss good night.
Teyla leaned over and gave him another kiss. Sheppard reached his hand over to his nightstand to turn off the light, before returning his attention back to Teyla.
The End.
Sheppard got all music playing for this from members of expedition and used what they had that fit.
pre wedding march song: Love Theme from St Elmo's Fire by David Foster (Instrumental version)
wedding march song: Love Theme from An Officer and a Gentleman by Lee Ritenour
Music playing before wedding starts:[/b]
1. Crystal Heart Theme by Joel Goldsmith from the movie Crystal Heart
2. Love And Dreams by Ennio Morricone from the movie A Time Of Destiny
3. Gabriel's Oboe by Ennio Morricone from the movie The Mission
4. Stealing Home Reprise by David Foster from the movie Stealing Home
5. Love Theme by Francis Lai from Bilitis

The End.
