In the year 2369 a small Federation Space Station designated as Vanguard Station went into full operation.
The station operated on the very outskirts of known Federation territory and was designed to be a self sufficient post for Federation scientists and exploration services. It also maintained a small compliment of Starfleet personnel who fulfilled most of the operational, security and logistical services for the station.
In the year 2370 the Federation Starship, USS Boudicca docked at Vanguard Station to replenish supplies and personnel. During this time scientists on board the Vanguard were experimenting with creating miniature wormholes to facilitate faster interstellar communications.
On the eve of their first experiment, just as a small wormhole formed ten-thousand kilometres below the station, an unexpected fragment of anti-matter formed simultaneously supercharging the wormhole. The effect of both the wormhole and the anti-matter coming together at the same time resulted in a one-time wormhole of unfathomable power and a release of several megatons of energy.
When the dust settled, Vanguard Station and the USS Boudicca had vanished and are believed to have been destroyed despite of any physical evidence ever being discovered to verify the claim.
In reality, both the station and the ship were transported millions of light years away into unknown space.
Vanguard Station itself suffered severe damage but all easily repairable over time. The USS Boudicca suffered similar damaged but not as extensive.
At the current time both crews are working together to make repairs, figure out their current location and try to figure out how to get home. Alone in a desolate part of some unknown galaxy, dozens of light years away from any M-Class planet both crews must find away to work together and survive.

Jr. Officers / NCOs / Enlisted in all Divisions
Civilians including Scientists, Diplomats, Medical Personnel, Entertainers, Family Members
