O’Neill’s House aka O’Neill and Carter’s House:
O’Neill got off the phone and headed into the bedroom to find Carter backing her bags.
“Whatcha doing Sam?” O’Neill asked.
“Packing for our cruise,” Carter said.
“You can do that tomorrow morning,” O’Neill said.
“Yes I could, but I might forget something,” Carter said, “You could pack now too if you wanted to?”
“No I’ll wait tell morning,” O’Neill said.
“Are you sure Jack,” Carter said, “Because we could wake up late and you would have no time to pack.”
“Alright I see your point Sam,” O’Neill said as he got ready to pack and later that night O’Neill asked her, “What time are we suppose to be at the train station?”
“8 am,” Carter said, “I have set the alarm for 6 am.”
“Ok I will take my shower first, get dressed and then call a cab,” O’Neill said.
“Did you ask the next door neighbor to pick up the mail and the Sunday newspaper while where gone?” Cater asked.
“Yes, I did it yesterday,” O’Neill said.
“Good,” Carter said , “Good Night Jack.”
“Good Night Sam, “ O’Neill, “Oh and Sam if you remember that house we looked at the one the looked the one in the visions well it’s ours.”
“That’s good,” Carter said and the O’Neill kissed her good night.
They went to sleep and the next thing they heard was the alarm going off.
“Sam wake up. Oh Sam,” O’Neill said.
“Alright I’m up,” Carter said.
“You can finish sleeping on the train if you want to,” O’Neill said.
The SGC:
“Major Davis, General Parker,” Hammond said, “I’ll leave the SGC in your hands while I’m gone. I left the number on my desk should you need to reach me.”
“Have I nice vacation Sir,” Major Davis said, “and tell SG-1 the same.”
“I will Major,” Hammond said as he grabbed his bags and left.
The Train Station:
“So Cassie when is your friend suppose to get here,” Dr. Frasier said.
“Any minute now,” Cassie said,” Here she comes.”
“And here comes General Hammond and his family,” O’Neill said.
“It’s good to get away from work,” Hammond said.
“Yes it is,” Carter said.
“Sam are you sick?” O’Neill asked.
“No but maybe since we started going out and then got married I’ve changed my ways a little,” Carter said.
“Oh good we can board now,” Daniel said.
“Why? Are you in a hurry to get this vacation started?” Dr. Frasier asked.
Daniel nodded yes.
“I know I am,” O’Neill said as he was smiling at Carter.
They boarded the train and took their seats.
The Train (about half way to L.A.):
“So Daniel and Janet did you hear the good news,” Carter said.
“What good news?” Dr. Frasier asked.
“Jack and I got this house we looked at,” Carter said, “A place to call our own.”
“Well that’s good news Jack,” Daniel said.
“Yes it is,” O’Neill said, “And when we get back Sam and I are going to need to start moving in.”
“If you need help just call we’ll be glad to help,” Daniel said.
The Cruise Ship (some hours later):
As they boarded the cruise ship, the Pacific Princess, there was a banner that said there was a party for the original crew: Caption Stubing, Julie McCoy, Dr. Adam Bricker, Isaac Washington and Gopher Smith. General Hammond, his family, and the others walked towards someone to find out what their cabin numbers were and were greeted by cruise director Julie McCoy.
“Hi, my name is Julie McCoy…,” Julie McCoy said and the she asked them their names so she could give them their cabin numbers.
“You are one of the people who was mentioned on the banner we saw,” Daniel said.
“Yes I am. They asked me to fill in here since their current cruise director is sick,” Julie McCoy said.
They got their cabin numbers and went to their rooms. All of their rooms were on the Fiesta Deck. Dr. Frasier had a room with two joining rooms on either side. One was Daniel’s and the other one was Cassie and Ruby's. Down the hall was Carter’s and O’Neill’s Room and General Hammond and his family were near by.
On Deck (section A):
“Sam what do you think about getting as pool table?” O’Neill asked.
“You want a pool table?” Carter asked.
O’Neill nodded yes and replied, “I thought we could make a game room in the basement.”
“A game room I like that,” Carter said.
“Your fridge in the kitchen and mine in the garage,” O’Neill said.
“Why mine in the kitchen?” Carter asked.
“I like your’s better,” O’Neill replied.
“What about a kitchen table?” Carter asked.
“I say we see which one looks better in the kitchen, and that will be the one we use, and the other one we can put in the dining room,” O’Neill replied.
“That’s a very good comprise,” Carter said with a smile.
On Deck (another section):
“Grandpa,” Tessa and Kayla, who was holding on to a book, said.
Hammond asked what to his granddaughters.
“You said if we brought this book you would read some of it with us,” Tessa said.
“Let’s sit over on this long chair and you two can sit on my lap,” Hammond said.
Once seated with his granddaughters, Hammond grabbed the book and opened it up looking for a story until he found one that they had not read themselves.
Farther down the deck Dr. Frasier was talking to Cassie.
“Now Cassie I want you and your friend Ruby to be in your cabin by 10pm ok?” Dr. Frasier asked.
Cassie said fine a little mad.
“Look I didn’t say you had to be asleep,” Dr. Frasier said, “Now you and Ruby go have some fun but don’t forget your cabin number.”
“Ok Ruby and I will see you at dinner,” Cassie said.
Carter and O’Neill’s Cabin Room (later the night):
“So, Sam are you almost ready for dinner?” O’Neill asked.
“Just about Jack,” Sam replied.
“You know that dress you are wearing seems familiar,” O’Neill said.
“That’s because I wore it to our engagement party at the General’s,” Carter said.
“I guess I have been so busy caring about you and loving you I forget what you’re wearing,” O’Neill said.
The only thing that Carter did was give O’Neill a huge small. He in turn grabbed Carter and she said, “Not now Jack we will have plenty of time for that later.”
“Darn,” O’Neill said, “You know what’s on my mind.”
“You bet I do,” Carter said.
Daniel’s Cabin Room/Dr. Frasier’s Cabin Room:
Daniel opened the door that connected his room with Dr. Frasier’s Room and Dr. Frasier said, “I’ll be out in a minute, Daniel.”
“You know Teal’c is missing out on one heck of a cruise,” Daniel said.
“Teal’c wanted to visit his son,” Dr. Frasier said.
Just then there was a knock at the door, and Daniel asked, “Would you like me to get the door for you Janet?”
Dr. Frasier said told him yes and hen opened the door to find O’Neill and Carter there. He then said hi to them.
“Are you, Janet, Cassie and Ruby ready yet?” Carter asked.
“Janet is just about ready and Cassie and Ruby I don’t know but I can find out,” Daniel said and just as he was about to go over and knock on the door there was a knock.
"Can Ruby and I come in?” Cassie asked.
Dr. Frasier told Cassie yes as she was coming out of the bathroom.
Cassie opened the opened the door and came in with Ruby.
“Well is everyone ready then,” O’Neill said, “I told George that we would meet him and his family in the dining hall.”
“Well then let’s go,” Carter said.
Dr. Frasier snapped her fingers in front of Daniel’s face and Daniel asked, “What?”
“Are you ready to go?” Dr. Frasier asked.
“Yeah,” Daniel replied, “I just remembered something work related that I should have written on my to do list.”
In the Dining Hall:
When they got to the dining hall, it was not hard to spot their table as they were sitting at the same table General Hammond.
“Jack,” Hammond said as O’Neill and the others reached the table.
“George,” O’Neill said as he pulled out a chair for Carter, “So enjoying the cruise?”
"Yes because I can relax,” Hammond replied, “and spent some time with my granddaughters.”
Tessa said yeah and Kayla said, “Tessa and I can beat him at checkers, go fish and Crazy 8’s.”
“I can see you got the rest of your cruise planned,” O’Neill said.
“Yes I do,” Hammond said.
O’Neill and Carter’s Cabin:
O’Neill and Carter had gotten ready for bed and Carter said, “You can continue what you started early.”
When O’Neill heard that he was grinning as he grabbed her.
On Deck:
“Nice night huh Daniel?” Dr. Frasier asked.
Daniel nodded yes.
“I think I’m going to head to my cabin,” Dr. Frasier said, “I’m getting tried.”
“Would you mine if I walked you to your cabin?” Daniel asked.
“No, I wouldn’t,” Dr. Frasier replied.
“Good,” Daniel said as began to walk her to her cabin.
Cassie and Ruby’s Cabin:
“What do think you’ll wear to my birthday party later this month?” Ruby asked.
“I don’t know. I will pick something out when it gets closer,” Cassie replied, "So what do you think you will get for you birthday?”
“Well I was hoping to get Farscape DVD’s,” Ruby replied.
“Farscape is so science fiction,” Cassie said.
“Hey it was good when it was on,” Ruby said, “My favorite character is D’Argo.”
“Well my favorite show is C.S.I.,” Cassie said.
“That’s good too,” Ruby said, “What about ER?”
“That’s good, but if I want, I could just watch my mom. She is a doctor you know,” Cassie replied.
General Hammond’s Cabin (the next morning):
“Grandpa,” Tessa said, “Grandpa.”
“What?” Hammond asked just as he was about to get up.
“Ready for a game of crazy 8’s?" Kayla asked.
“After breakfast ok,” Hammond said.
Tessa and Kayla said ok with sad voice.
In Carter and O’Neill’s Cabin:
O’Neill woke up before Carter, so he spent the time until she woke up watching her sleep and thinking about happy he was.
When Carter did wake up with a yawn, O’Neill said, “Good morning gorgeous.”
“Good morning yourself handsome,” Carter said.
O’Neill kissed Carter on the forehead and then got up.
“Why are you getting up?” Carter asked.
“Last one in the shower is a rotten egg,” O’Neill said.
Carter got up, grabbed her bathrobe and said, “It looks like you will be the rotten egg Jack.”
“Oh yeah,” O’Neill said as he began moving real fast to the bathroom, “Oh so you want to play again huh Sam.”
Carter then dropped her robe on the floor and O’Neill grinned as she grinned.
Dr. Frasier’s Cabin:
Dr. Frasier had gotten up, took a shower and got dressed. Just after she finished putting on her shoes, she went do the door that lead to Daniel’s cabin and knocked on it.
“Go away,” Daniel said from the other side of the door and still half asleep.
“Ok, just remember the next time you come back from a mission I won’t be as nice with the size of the needle I use,” Dr. Frasier said.
“Alright I’m up,” Daniel said and then he put on his robe and went to the door to let Dr. Frasier in.
“The needles got to you huh,” Dr. Frasier said.
“Yes,” Daniel said, “Just let me take a shower and get dressed then I will be right with you.”
“Ok, I’ll be waiting,” Dr. Frasier said.
In the Dining Hall (Breakfast Time):
“I wonder where Sam and Jack are?” Daniel asked, “They said they would meet us for breakfast.”
“They’re probably still asleep,” Cassie said.
“You’re probably right,” Dr. Frasier said.
“Well here they come,” Daniel said.
When Carter and O’Neill got to the table, O’Neill said, “Sorry we’re late.”
“Yeah,” Carter said, “We over slept.”
“Yeah sure right,” Daniel said, “Whatever you say.”
“It’s none of your business what goes on between Sam and me,” O’Neill said as he pulled out a chair for Carter before sitting down.
“Cassie,” Dr. Frasier said, “You let me know, when we reach port, when you and Ruby want to go ashore ok.”
“Fine,” Cassie said.
“Is there something wrong with your mood Cassie?” Carter asked.
“Ask my mom,” Cassie said.
Carter turned towards Dr. Frasier.
“Well she’s mad because I let her have a little more freedom at home,” Dr. Frasier said.
“Your mother is just looking out for you,” Carter said, “She cares about you. You should be grateful.”
“Yeah I know,” Cassie said.
Tessa pulled out of her pocket a deck of cards and said, “Now can we play Crazy 8’s Grandpa.”
“Just wait until you have had your breakfast and I have had mine ok,” Hammond said.
Kayla then said darn.
“Well I’m in charge when your parents aren’t around,” Hammond said.
“Darn,” Kayla said, “I thought grandparents were supposed to be the coolest.”
“Yeah,” Tessa said.
“Well here comes your breakfast Tessa and Kayla,” Hammond said, “You hurry up and eat your breakfast. The sooner you eat it, the sooner we get to play cards.”
“Yeah,” Kayla and Tessa said.
After Kayla and Tessa finished their breakfast and after Hammond got his breakfast and ate it, he said, “Well if you will excuse me. I promised me granddaughters a game of Crazy 8’s after breakfast.”
“Sure,” Daniel said and then O’Neill.
“Come on Tessa and Kayla,” Hammond said.
Kayla and Tessa got up and Tessa made sure she had put the cards back in her pocket and they were there.
Later that day everyone got ready to go ashore at the port they were coming to.
A Hallway (near the door of O’Neill and Carter’s Cabin):
“Come on Janet,” Daniel said, “let’s see if Sam and Jack are ready.”
“I’ll be right there,” Dr. Frasier said, “I just have to tie my shoe.”
In O’Neill and Carter’s Cabin:
“Why are you wearing your fishing hat Jack,” Carter said.
“Because it’s the one I brought with me,” O’Neill said as he put his sunglasses in his shirt pocket and then there was a knock at the door, so he answered it, “Daniel.”
“Yeah,” Daniel said, “Janet and I wanted to see if you were ready.”
“I just need to put on my hat Daniel,” Carter said, “and put my sunglasses in my purse.”
“Daniel I’ll go see if Cassie and Ruby are ready,” Dr. Frasier said.
“We’re ready,” Cassie said coming down the hall with Ruby.
“Ok,” Carter said, “Then let’s go.”
Everyone then headed on deck to wait for the ship to reach port. When the ship reached port and was ready for people to go on shore, they headed ashore.
In Hammond’s Cabin:
“What next?” Hammond asked his granddaughters after they finished playing Crazy 8’s.
Kayla said checkers and Tessa said yeah.
The door joining the two cabins opened and Hammond’s son said, “We’re going to go ashore and we’ll be back in a while.”
“Bring us back something,” Tessa and Kayla said.
Kayla went and got the checkers while Tessa put away the cards.
“Ok what color do you want?” Hammond asked.
“Black,” they both said.
“Ok, then,” Hammond said as he grabbed the red pieces and set them up.
On Shore (in a store):
“What do you suppose is taking the girls so long,” Daniel asked.
“Who knows why women take so long to look at clothes,” O’Neill said.
“Well here they come,” Daniel said.
When the girls got there, O’Neill asked, “What took you so long?”
“Well I wanted to find something special for you to see me in,” Carter said.
“Are you going to tell me what it is?” O’Neill asked.
“Nope you’ll just have to wait and see,” Carter said.
“What not until we get home?” O’Neill asked.
“No, you’ll get to see it tonight,” Carter said.
“What’s your excuse Janet?” Daniel asked.
“You’ll find out later too,” Dr. Frasier said as she Cassie, Ruby and Carter started walking.
“Must be the dresses,” Daniel said to O’Neill and then they hurried up to catch up with the girls.
Carter and O’Neill’s Cabin (Later that night):
“Are you almost ready?” O’Neill asked.
“Just about,” Carter said, “Ok, here I come. You may want to close your eyes,”
“Ok, my eyes are closed,” O’Neill said.
Carter came out and said, “You can open your eyes now.”
O’Neill opened his eyes and didn’t know what to say, so he smiled a big smile. Then he asked, “Shall we go?”
Carter nodded yes.
Daniel’s Cabin:
Daniel hand finished getting ready and went to the door jointing his cabin with Dr. Frasier’s. When got no response he got worried, but then he heard a knock on the door so he opened it.
“If you knocked I’m sorry I didn’t hear it. I was getting ready,” Dr. Frasier said.
“Do you want to go now?” Daniel asked.
Dr. Frasier nodded yes a bit annoyed because he didn’t notice the dress she was wearing.
“Something wrong Janet?” Daniel asked.
“Nothing lets go,” Dr. Frasier said.
Daniel opened the door for her and they went to the party.
In the Dining Hall/Outside the Dining Hall:
The dining hall was set for the tribute to Captain Stubbing and his crew when he was captain of this cruise ship. His daughter was also there. There was dancing going on as well as drinks being served by Isaac Washington for the night. As Carter, O’Neill and others came in, one of the musician’s said through the microphone, “Welcome to the Pacific Princess Tribute Party for Captain Stubbing and his crew.”
Shortly after that Daniel, Dr. Frasier, Hammond and his son and daughter-in-law came in. When they reached the table, Carter asked, “Janet are you alright?”
“I’m fine Sam,” Dr. Frasier said.
“Ok,” Carter said, “but you seem annoyed by something.”
“I’m not annoyed,” Dr. Frasier said.
“If you tell me what it is,” Daniel said, “maybe I can fix it.”
Dr. Frasier became even more annoyed. She figured if he didn't know why she was annoyed then she wasn’t going to tell him.
“Sam would you like to dance?” O’Neill asked.
“Sure Jack,” Carter said as she got up and walked over to the dance with O’Neill.
“Janet would you like to dance?” Daniel asked.
“No,” Dr. Frasier said annoyingly.
“Why not?” Daniel asked.
“As if you don’t know,” Dr. Frasier said.
“What did I do?” Daniel asked.
Dr. Frasier didn’t talk to him for the rest of the evening and Carter knew that something was up.
Carter whispered to O’Neill, “It looks like Daniel will be getting large needles next time he visits the infirmary.”
Near the end of the party, the current captain of the Pacific Princess went up to the microphone and said the names of Captain Stubbing’s crew. As that was being done, each one stood up and then a toast was given by the current captain. When it finally ended Dr. Frasier got up and left without waiting for Daniel. Daniel got up and hurried to catch up to her. When he did he asked, “Janet what’s wrong?”
“As if you don’t know,” Dr. Frasier said.
“Tell me,” Daniel said, “I don’t know what you’re mad about.”
“Why should I tell you?” Dr. Frasier asked.
“Because I care about you,” Daniel said.
“I’m still not telling you,” Dr. Frasier said, “If you haven’t figured it out by now.”
With that said, Dr. Frasier went to her cabin. After waiting until she was gone, Daniel headed to his.
Back in the Dining Hall:
“Enjoy what’s left of your vacation Jack,” Hammond said.
“I’ll try to,” O’Neill said before Hammond left.
In Carter and O’Neill’s Cabin (a little bit later):
O’Neill and Carter where getting ready for bed when they heard someone knocking at the door. Carter put her bathrobe on and answered it.
“Sam can we talk?” Dr. Frasier asked.
“Sure,” Carter said, “Jack.”
“I’ll go talk to Daniel,” O’Neill said as he grabbed his bathrobe and put on his slippers, “and I’ll let you know what happens.”
Daniel’s Cabin:
Daniel heard a knocking at the door and when opened it he found O’Neill standing there. He then asked, “Jack what are you doing here?”
“I came here to talk with you,” O’Neill said, “Now I want you to give me a recap of tonight.”
“Ok then,” Daniel said, “Well then after I had gotten ready for the party I went over the door jointing my cabin with hers and knocked. When I didn’t get a response, I got worried and after a short while I heard a knock at the door. It was Janet so I let her in. I then asked if she wanted to go and she said yes so we left.”
“I see something very wrong with that picture,” O’Neill said.
“Like what?” Daniel asked.
“Well according to Sam, Dr. Frasier was wearing that new dress she brought today,” O’Neill said.
“How could I have been so stupid Jack,” Daniel said, “I forget to say something about what she was wearing.”
O’Neill and Carter’s Cabin:
“So what’s wrong Janet?” Carter asked.
“It’s what Daniel didn’t do tonight that’s go me mad,” Dr. Frasier.
“What didn’t he do?” Carter asked.
“He didn’t notice me dress,” Dr. Frasier said.
“You spent a lot of time picking out the dress,” Carter said, “You should know he hasn’t been serious about anyone since Sha’re and just maybe he has forgotten some things.”
“I don’t know maybe your right,” Dr. Frasier said.
They continued talking and Carter heard a knock at the door and asked who it was.
“It’s Jack,” O’Neill said.
“What do you want?” Carter asked.
“Daniel is ready to talk to Dr. Frasier,” O’Neill said.
“Well good luck Janet,” Carter said as she opened the door and O’Neill.
“Thanks,” Janet said as she left.
Carter closed the door and O’Neill said, “Sam to bed.”
Carter then smiled at him.
“It’s not what you are thinking Sam,” O’Neill said and Carter frowned at him, “It’s the next best thing. What I’m wanting to do is go to bed and cuddle up with the woman I love is that so wrong.”
“No it’s not,” Carter said.
When they were comfy, O’Neill watched Carter sleep before falling asleep himself.
In Daniel’s Cabin:
Daniel opened the door, let Dr. Frasier in and said to her as he closed it, “It’s 100% my fault Janet. I was stupid not to notice your dress.”
“I know getting back into a serious relationship must be hard on you since Sha’re,” Dr. Frasier said.
“A little because you really are the first woman since Sha’re,” Daniel said, “but with your help I think it won’t be so hard on me. It may be hard for you too, but we can deal with that too. We can help each other and I think that’s what will work to get us through.”
“I forgive you,” Dr. Frasier, “and because of what you said you can forget the large needles.”
Daniel whispered something in her ear and she said, “That’s what you thought about dress.”
“Yes,” Daniel said, “I was just being totally honest.”
“I’m glad you liked it,” Dr. Frasier said.
On Deck (the next day):
“So how did your talk with Daniel go?” Carter asked
“It went fine,” Dr. Frasier said, “We’re talking to each other.”
“That’s good,” Carter said.
“I know what I’m doing when I get home,” O’Neill said.
“I don’t think so,” Carter said.
“Ok, then we’re not thinking of the same thing ,” O’Neill said.
“What were you thinking about?” Carter asked.
“Watching an episode of The Simpsons,” O’Neill said, “It was one I forget to tape the first time it was on. That and munch on Fruit Loops.”
“What about you Daniel?” Dr. Frasier asked.
“I don’t know maybe hangout with you,” Daniel said.
“That sounds good,” Dr. Frasier said.
“What about you George?” O’Neill asked.
“Well Kayla wants me to play Connect Four with her,”’ Hammond said.
“Well by the look on Kayla’s face she is planning your defeat,” O’Neill said.
When the Pacific Princess reached the port in Los Angeles people started getting of the ship and made their way back to their homes. O’Neill, Carter and the rest made it to the cabs then the train station and back to Colorado.
The End
O’Neill got off the phone and headed into the bedroom to find Carter backing her bags.
“Whatcha doing Sam?” O’Neill asked.
“Packing for our cruise,” Carter said.
“You can do that tomorrow morning,” O’Neill said.
“Yes I could, but I might forget something,” Carter said, “You could pack now too if you wanted to?”
