The SGC and the Planet:
Gen. Hammond gives the four their orders to stop the system lord Yu and the Goa’uld from stealing some important piece of technology. The four enter the gate to travel to another part of the universe where the system lord Yu and the Goa’uld are believed to be. Once they exit the gate Sam Beckett finds himself in a strange place. Then Sam Beckett sees someone he had never seen before grab a woman out of nowhere and disappear in a flash.
“Carter,” O’Neill yelled, “We have to find out where Goa’uld have taken her. Come on Teal’c. Daniel.”
Teal’c starts to move and says, “Daniel Jackson you coming?”
Before Sam Beckett could start to move Al appeared and said, “Sam, Ziggy says look to your right.”
“Oh Boy,” Sam Beckett and Al said.
“Sam start moving and listen. Don’t talk yet,” Al said.
Sam starts moving and listen to Al.
“The date is…,” Al said, “You have leaped into man named Daniel Jackson who is a member of this SG-1. He is in the field of archeology, Egyptology, linguistics and knows about 23 different languages. Ziggy is sure you are here to save a Lt. Colonel Samantha Carter, who Daniel calls Sam, and stop some alien race known as the Goa’uld from stealing some important piece of technology in this part of the universe.”
“There’s a cave over there. Let’s head for it and figure out a way to find Sam,” Sam B./Daniel said.
“You know that may be a good idea Daniel,” O'Neill said.
“I agree,” Teal'c said.
The Cave:
The three of them head to the cave. Once there, O’Neill uses his commutation device to contact Gen. Hammond.
“General,” O'Neill said.
“Colonel,” Hammond said.
“We have even bigger problem. The Goa’uld have taken Carter. None of us know where they have her but we are going to find her,” O'Neill said.
“Colonel O’Neill,” Teal'c said, “Is it possible the Goa’uld have taken her so we will have to use all our efforts to save her, then they can take the technology without are knowing it and return Colonel Carter unharmed.”
“General I will contact you when I know more,” O'Neill said.
“Alright then,” Hammond said.
“Sam,” Al said, “The man with the marking on his forehead is Teal’c and the other man is Colonel Jack O’Neill, who Daniel calls Jack.”
“Isn’t also possible they don’t know where the technology is and have taken Sam so they can get the information,” Sam B./Daniel said.
“It is possible they know it’s here but they don’t know the actual location,” Teal'c said, “And have Colonel Carter to get the actual location.”
A Gou’ald Ship:
“Take her to a cell,” Yu said, “All she is telling me is name rank and serial number.”
As two Gou’ald guards grabbed Carter she screamed, ”Let me go!”
When they got to the cell they sorta of shoved Colonel Carter into between lowing and putting up the force field.
Carter sat dwon on what looked to have been a bed or a cot of some sort because it had a blanket and a pillow. She tried to close her eyes and sleep but she could not. Then she remembered the locket she wore under her uniform. O’Neill had given to her last Christmas it had a picture of her father and one of himself in it. Carter pulled it out, opened it up and stared at the pictures of her father and Jack.
Flashback:
“Major,” Jack said.
“Colonel,” Sam said.
“I know we said we were never going to act on the feelings we have for each other but I have a Christmas gift for you,” Jack said as he handed the gift to Sam.
“What is it?” Sam asked.
“Well open it,” Jack said.
Sam took the gift from Jack’s hand and opened it up to reveal a locket inside with the initials S.C. engraved on it. Then she took out the locket inside and opened it to reveal a picture of her father and one of Jack.
“Your father had a little doing on this. He gave me the picture to use for the locket,” Jack said, “Then I did the rest.”
Sam then kissed O’Neill on the cheek and said, “Thank you Jack. It’s beautiful.”
“You’re Welcome Sam,” Jack said.
The Cave (present):
“Colonel O’Neill is there something wrong?” Teal’c asked.
“I don’t know I just have this feeling Carter is here somewhere,” O'Neill said.
Sam B./Daniel over heard that and asked Al, “Is he alright?”
“According to Ziggy,” Al said as he hit the side of the handlink, “Colonel Carter is on a Goa’uld ship that has landed moments before she was taken so to answer your question yes.”
Sam B./Daniel said, “Jack is it possible she is on a Goa’uld ship that has landed some where.”
“There it is again that feeling that Carter is here,” O'Neill said.
“Al is there another way out of this cave a back door perhaps,” Sam B./Daniel said.
“You’re right Sam,” Al said.
“Jack, Teal’c is it possible that this cave has a back door,” Sam B./Daniel said.
“What do we do if we find this back door?” Teal’c asked.
“I don’t know,” Sam B./Daniel said.
“Well lets find it and go from there,” O'Neill said.
“Sam I’ll go back and see if Ziggy can dig up any more information,” Al said as he pressed a button on the handlink and the imaging chamber door opened then he entered it.
A Goa’uld Ship:
A Goa’uld guard lowered the force field and placed a tray of mush at the end of the cot, put the force field back up and then left. Colonel Carter looked at the food and did not like what she saw. The food looked like some kind of poison so she got up and put it at the other end of the cell. Then she remembered the locket was still open so she looked at the pictures again, then closed it up and put it back under her uniform. She thought happy thoughts which helped her fall asleep. She knew her teammates would come and rescue her. O’Neill would definitely make sure of that.
The Cave:
Teal’c, O’Neill and Sam B./Daniel had stopped when they came to a fork in the road. Now they had to decide which of the two ways to go.
“Which way do we go?” Teal’c asked.
“I say the path on the right,” O'Neill said.
They started to walk down the path O’Neill had suggested.
“There is the feeling again,” O'Neill said, “Only this time it’s stronger so we must be going the right way.”
They keep going down that path until they come to what looked like the back door to the cave but there was a slight problem:[/b] how to get it open.
“I think I know how to open the door,” Sam B./Daniel said pointing to something, “This control panel but it needs some kind of code punched in for the door to open.”
“Could this be it?” Teal’c asked pointing to something else.
“It could very well be. I just have to decipher it because it is in hieroglyphics,” Sam B./Daniel said.
“How long will it take for you to decipher it?” O’Neill asked.
“Not long because it is very similar to Egyptian hieroglyphics,” Sam B./Daniel said as he got out a small piece of paper and something to write with out of backpack.
“What’s the paper for?” O’Neill asked.
Sam B./Daniel did not answer but instead began to decipher the hieroglyphics. Each time he would decipher one piece of it he would write it down so he would not forget any of it. Once he deciphered all of it he entered the code into the control panel.
“Stand back I think the door is about to open,” Sam B./Daniel said.
Sure enough the door opened. After it opened what they saw was a Goa’uld ship. There were no Goa’uld surrounding the ship so they must have all been inside.
“Can you close the door incase the Goa’uld decide to come out so they will not see us?” O’Neill asked.
“I will try to,” Sam B./Daniel said as he entered in the code again but it didn’t work, “I’ll try punching it in backwards sometimes that works.”
Sure enough it did.
“From what I saw of the light it looks like nightfall is upon us,” Teal'c said.
“We might what to set up camp and decide what to do,” Sam B./Daniel said.
“That’s a good idea. Over there looks like a good spot,” O'Neill said pointing to the spot he was referring to.
On the Goa’uld Ship:
Two Goa’uld guards came and took Carter to same chamber as last time. Yu wanted to see if this time she would gave him the information he needed but he got the same results as last time so back in the cell she went. While in the cell she heard a voice that sounded like the Colonel’s saying, “I’m coming Carter don’t give up hope.” She knew she would never do that. She noticed the tray that was on the other side of the cell was gone. A guard must have taken it.
Back in the Cave:
O’Neill, Teal’c and Sam B./Daniel were sitting around a fire they had got going and set up camp with what they had. O’Neill got out a ziploc bag he had in his backpack that was filled with Fruit Loops and began eating. As he was eating, his mind flooded with images of him and Carter together. Then he got that feeling he had gotten ever since they entered the cave that Carter was here somewhere but this time it was stronger then all the other times.
“Colonel O’Neill,” Teal'c said.
“I'll be alright Teal’c,” O'Neill said, “All it is that feeling that I told you about earlier well it’s even stronger now then ever before.”
“When did you started experiencing these feelings?” Teal’c asked.
“Ever since we enter this cave,” O'Neill said.
Al appeared and Sam B./Daniel said, “If you will excuse me I’m going to stretch my legs for a bit.”
Sam B./Daniel walked a bit until O’Neill and Teal’c could not see him talking to Al.
“What’s the scoop?” Sam B./Daniel asked.
“You are not going to like what I have found out,” Al said.
“What is it then?” Sam B./Daniel asked.
Al held up a clipping of newspaper, on the death of all 4 members of SG-1, that would appear into tomorrow’s headline if Sam B. did nothing. Al then said, “It’s a good thing that freak accident happened and you are able to leap six months into the past from the date where I am.”
“Is there someway to make something that will put the Goa’uld to sleep long enough to complete the rescue mission,” Sam B./Daniel said.
“Oh I get it a sleepy medicine for the Goa’uld so they never know what happened.” Al said, “Yes but you will need the help of Dr. Janet Frasier who is back at Stargate headquarters.”
“Good. That way we can have our cake and eat it too,” Sam B./Daniel said.
“Ah a Caption Janeway quote form Star Trek Voyager,” Al said.
“I didn’t realize that,” Sam B./Daniel said.
“Good luck on the mission I’m going to see what’s going on with Colonel,” Al said as he hit the side of the handlink, “Carter. Ziggy give me a lock on Colonel Carter.”
Al disappeared and Sam B./Daniel headed back to O’Neill and Teal’c.
“Jack, Teal’c I think I have an idea,” Sam B./Daniel said.
“I’m willing to try anything,” O'Neill said.
Sam B./Daniel tells O’Neill and Teal’c his idea.
“It may just work,” Teal'c said.
O’Neill pulls out his communication device and contacts General Hammond.
“General Hammond,” O'Neill said.
“Colonel,” Hammond said.
“Daniel has an idea on how we can rescue Colonel Carter but we are going to need Dr. Frasier’s help for some of it,” O'Neill said.
“What kind of plan?” Hammond asked.
“Daniel thinks that if we can create a medicine that will make the Goa’uld sleepy long enough we can complete the mission,” O'Neill said.
“General I also think there is way that we can have our cake and eat it too,” Sam B./Daniel said.
“How?” Hammond asked.
“While the Goa’uld are sleeping and O’Neill is rescuing Sam, Teal’c and I will go to one of the consoles and falsify their records into thinking they are in the wrong part of the universe,” Sam B./Daniel said.
“We will General Hammond delete anything that might lead them to think the records were tampered with. There is a world that has a piece of technology, underwater, that is useless,” Teal'c said.
“But that water is toxic,” Hammond said.
“We know that but the Goa’uld and the system lord of that ship don’t,” O'Neill said.
“Very sneaky,” Hammond said, “I will tell Dr. Frasier and have get it to you first thing in the morning.”
“Ok. Colonel Out,” O'Neill said.
At Stargate Command:
General Hammond walked into the infirmary to find Dr. Frasier.
“General what can I do for you?” Dr. Frasier asked.
“I need you to make a sleepy medicine of some kind that will make the Goa’uld sleepy long enough for Jackson, O’Neill and Teal’c to complete their mission,” Hammond said.
“It may take me all night for that,” Dr. Frasier said.
“That’s ok. I told them you would get it to them first thing in the morning,” Hammond said.
“I will get started right away,” Dr. Frasier said.
Back in the Cave:
“Now all we have to do is wait for Dr. Frasier,” Teal'c said, “I’ll stand guard.”
“No, I will because I’m not going to be able to sleep anyway,” O'Neill said, “Not until Carter has been rescued.”
The Next Morning on the Goa’uld Ship:
When the Goa’uld guards came for Carter she grabbed the pillow and when the force field was down hit them as hard as she could with the pillow. Then she grabbed their weapons, putting one in her pocket and started walking down the corridor. She got out the locket from under her uniform and just held it as she was walking. Any Goa’uld solider she came across she shot. At the moment when she saw no more Goa’uld in this part of the ship she let go of the locket with out knowing it and the locket had fallen off. The connector that connected one end of the chain to the other was broken and held together by scotch tape, which had become worn over time. Carter kept walking and tripped over something, she didn’t know what though, then something in the air made her sleepy. She tried getting up so she could stay awake but she could not.
Back in the Caves:
Teal’c had contacted the General to find out if Dr. Frasier had the medicine ready to go and to give them the location of where they were.
“Tell Dr. Frasier to hurry up I don’t know how long O’Neill can wait,” Teal'c said.
“She is getting ready to leave now,” Hammond said.
“Ok, Teal’c out,” Teal'c said.
On the Goa’uld Ship:
Al was following Colonel Carter around when he saw her trip and close her eyes he said, “Oh no.”
Then he had to tell Sam B.
In the Cave:
“Sam you have to hurry up something terrible has happened to Colonel Carter. She tripped over something and seems to be asleep,” Al said.
About 10 minutes later Dr. Frasier came with the medicine.
“Here you go,” Dr. Frasier said as she handed the bag with the medicine to Teal’c.
“Thank you Dr. Frasier,” Teal'c said.
“Doctor you may want to get a bed ready for Colonel Carter because something bad may have happened to her on the Goa’uld ship,” Sam B./Daniel said.
“Agreed,” Dr. Frasier said, “And good luck on your mission.”
Dr. Frasier left and headed back to the Stargate.
Sam B./Daniel grabbed his pack, got out the paper with the code on and when to the control panel and punched it. The door opened and Sam B./Daniel put the paper back into his pack. Then they all headed out the door.
“I want to tell you two when I find Colonel Carter I’m taking her straight to the Stargate,” O'Neill said.
They hurried to the Goa’uld ship so they could complete their mission as quick as possible.
Once there O’Neill said, “You two take the medicine to make the Goa’uld sleepy and do what you need to do and I will find Carter.”
“Sam I will follow O’Neill and let you know of any changes,” Al said.
O’Neill headed in one direction and Teal’c and Sam B./Daniel in the other.
“What if we were to put the medicine in the system that handles the air?” Sam B./Daniel asked.
“It may work,” Teal'c said.
Other Side of the Ship (Side A):
O’Neill looked everywhere for Carter in the first section he came to but he could not find her so he moved on to the next section. When he did he noticed something on the floor it was the locket he had given her last Christmas so he knelt down and picked it up.
Flashback:
“Why did you put a picture of yourself in the locket?” Sam asked.
“Because one day in the future we may be able to act on the feelings we have for each other but until then I thought you would like a picture of me so you will know I will always care about you know matter what,” Jack said.
“I know that already,” Sam said.
“Also so you will know I will always be here as friend until such time we can be more then that,” Jack said.
“Well I will say this you are worth waiting for,” Sam said.
“So are you,” Jack said.
Sam then smiled and Jack stared at her face then smiled himself knowing he loved her smile.
Back on the Goa’uld Ship (Side A):
O’Neill thought to himself ‘I’m coming Carter don’t worry.’ He got up and put the locket in his pocket and continued down the corridor calling out Colonel Carter's name hoping she might hear it.
On the Other Side of the Goa’uld Ship (Side B):
“It’s working Daniel Jackson,” Teal'c said.
“Good. Now lets do the rest,” Sam B./Daniel said.
They begun to input the data into the Goa’uld Data banks and deleting anything that would lead the Goa’uld to suspect their data banks were tampered with in anyway.
Back on Side A:
After calling Carter’s name he stopped for a second and then noticed something. It could be Carter so he moved closer and sure enough it was. The first thing he did was search for a pulse. When he found one, he picked her up and started for the Stargate. Even if he had not found a pulse he would have still picked her up and carried her to the Stargate. He headed through the cave that way if there were any Goa’uld around he would not be seen. Once he was out of the cave he headed straight to the Stargate. He activated the Stargate the best he could do to the limited use of his hands right now because he was carrying Colonel Carter. When the Stargate was active he walked up to it, after he set Carter down, entered the IDC in the GDO and picked Carter back up, then entered it.
SGC’s Infirmary:
Once he was on the other side he carried her straight to the infirmary. When he got to the infirmary he set her down on the bed Dr. Frasier had ready.
“What happened to Sam?” Dr. Frasier asked.
“I found her like this,” O'Neill said.
“Will you step outside. I will let you know when you can come back,” Dr. Frasier said.
O’Neill did what he was asked.
Back on the Goa’uld Ship (Side B):
“Are you almost done Daniel?” Teal’c asked.
“Just give me one more minute,” Sam B./Daniel said with the feeling he knew how to work the buttons. It must have been the Daniel part of his “swissed cheesed brain” telling him what to do.
Al appeared and said, “Sam, O'Neill and Carter made it back to the Stargate alright.”
“Done,” Sam B./Daniel said, “Now lets get out of here.”
“Agreed,” Teal'c said.
Outside the SGC’s Infirmary:
“Colonel,” Hammond said, “Any word on Colonel Carter?”
“Nothing yet General,” O'Neill said.
“Let me know when you hear anything,” Hammond said.
“Yes sir,” O'Neill said.
Hammond left and O’Neill started pacing back and fourth desperately wanting to know what was wrong with Colonel Carter.
A Hallway in the SGC/Daniel’s Office:
“Sam follow me,” Al said.
Sam B. followed Al then asked when they stopped, “Where are we?”
“This Daniel Jackson’s Office,” Al said.
“I guess I did it,” Sam B./Daniel said.
“Yes you did,” Al said, “SG-1 lives and O’Neill and Carter get married sometime later. Daniel Jackson starts going out with Dr. Frasier.”
A blue light of sorts surrounded Sam and he leaped to once again “put right what once went wrong.”
The Infirmary (2 hours later):
“Colonel, Sam awoke a short time ago and was asking for you,” Dr. Frasier said, “She will have to stay off her left foot for a couple of days because it is sore. I will be keeping her in the infirmary for about 48 hours just to make sure there are no bad changes in her condition. You can go see her. Right now she is sleeping. If you need to find me for any reason I will be General Hammond’s office for about the next 10-15 minutes.”
“Ok,” O'Neill said as he walked into the infirmary.
After he entered the room he saw Carter sleeping on one of the beds so peacefully he decided no to wake her and instead sat in the chair next to the bed. He just watched her sleep and the next thing he heard was Carter voice.
“Colonel. Wake up,” Carter said and then she repeated it again.
“What?” O'Neill asked half asleep.
“You were asleep sir,” Carter replied.
“How long have you been awake?” O’Neill asked.
“About ten minutes,” Carter replied.
“Glad to see your are awake,” Dr. Frasier said.
“How long was I asleep Doc?” O’Neill asked.
“You were out for about 5 hours,” Dr. Frasier replied.
“Well could have woken me,” O'Neill said.
“Well Teal’c told me you hadn’t gotten any sleep last night so I just let you sleep. Now that you are awake I will leave you two alone,” Dr. Frasier said before she left, “I’ll be in my office if you need to find me.”
After Dr. Frasier left O’Neill remembered the locket that was in his pocket. He took it out and said, “I found this when I was looking for you.”
“I thought I had lost that,” Carter said.
“You should have that connector thing fixed,” O'Neill said, “If you would like I could get the connector thing fixed for you?”
“Ok since I will be in here for about 48 hours and I won’t be able to do it myself plus in that time it could be fixed,” Carter said.
“What I would like to know is why you had the locket with you in the first place?” O’Neill asked.
“I have my reasons,’ said Crater.
“Well I will say this, it was a good thing you did,” O'Neill said.
“So I guess the mission was a successful,” Carter said.’
“Yes it was. I rescued you and Teal’c and Daniel did the rest with a little help from Dr. Frasier,” O'Neill said.
“Come here,” Carter said motioning with her finger.
O’Neill moved closer to Carter, she gave him a kiss on the cheek and said,” Thank You.”
“Anytime. I like it when a plan comes together in such a way that I can complete the mission and save a member of my team,” O'Neill said.
“You know that I am going to recover and so you can get some sleep in a bed,” Carter said.
“What makes you think I was worried about you?” O’Neill asked.
“You wouldn’t be in here now,” Carter said.
“True so true,” said O'Neill.
“Sorry to interrupt but you have a special visitor Sam,” Dr. Frasier said.
“I think I will take your advice and go to my quarters on the base,” O'Neill said.
“Quarters on the base?” asked Carter.
“Yeah my place is being painted,” O'Neill said, “I guess I will see you later.”
“You too,” Carter said as she lightly squeezed O’Neill’s hand before he left.
As O’Neill left Jacob Carter walked further into the infirmary.
When Carter saw her father she asked, “What brings you here?”
“To find out how you are doing,” Jacob said.
“How did you find out?” asked Carter.
“Jack thought I should know,” Jacob said.
Carter smiled and her father asked, “What are you smiling about?”
“What you said,” Carter said.
“I think if it weren’t for that regulation you two would be good together,” Jacob said.
“I will tell you something that can’t ever leave this room. It’s something O’Neill said one time but you can not ever let him know I told you this. Speaking from his words “ I would rather die then lose Carter because I care about her more then I’m suppose to.”
Jacob Carter got an idea in his head but did not let his daughter find out and instead he said, “You know your mother would be proud if she could see you now.”
“Yeah, I guess she would,” Carter said.
“Well I should be getting back to my ship,” Jacob said.
“I guess that means I will see you soon,” Carter said.
“See you soon too,” Jacob said as he gave his daughter a hug and then left.
Outside the Infirmary:
O’Neill hadn’t left yet because he wanted to see the look on her face after she talked to her father.
Jacob walked out and said to O’Neill, “I will leave my daughter in your capable hands.”
“What do you mean by that?” O’Neill asked.
“You will find out one day Jack,” Jacob said and then he left.
O’Neill looked in the doorway of the infirmary and just looked at Carter. Carter saw him and mouthed thank you all O’Neill could do was smile at her.
Dr. Frasier came up to the door and said, “Go, sleep, now or General Hammond will here about it.”
“Yes, Doc,” O'Neill said, “Right away.”
O’Neill left to go to his quarters and the door closed.
O’Neill’s temporary Quarters (a Few Days Later):
O’Neill was looking for his box of Fruit Loops and there was knock at the door.
“Come in,” O'Neill said.
Carter entered and said, “Colonel I was on my way to meet Daniel and Teal’c at the commissary and wanted to know if you were going to join us?”
“Just let me find my box of Fruit Loops first,” O'Neill said as he was looking for the box.
Carter noticed something in the corner of the room, it was the box of Fruit Loops the colonel was looking for so she picked it up and said, “Is this what you are looking for and why does it say ‘Property of Col. Jack O’Neill on it?”
“Thank you for finding it,” O'Neill said, “And because I don’t want anyone stealing it.”
“A little possessive of your Fruit Loops Huh,” Carter said.
“If you must know,” O'Neill said, “Yes.”
They headed out the door and walked to the commissary.
The Commissary:
When Carter and O’Neill got there, they found the table they saw Teal’c and Daniel were seated at it and then they sat down.
“Carter will you please keep an eye on my box of Fruit Loops while a get a bowl, spoon and milk?” O’Neill asked.
“Ok,” Carter said.
After O’Neill left the table, Daniel said, “Lets play a joke on Jack by hiding his Fruit Loops.”
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you Daniel,” Carter said but it was too late. Daniel had already put the box under the table.
O’Neill came back to the table with a bowl spoon and milk and noticed his Fruit Loops were missing then said, “Come on people this is not funny. Carter I thought I asked you to watch my Fruit Loops?”
“I did,” Carter said, “But don’t ask me ask Daniel.”
“Ok Daniel fork it over,“ said O'Neill.
Daniel got the box from under the table, handed it to Jack and said, “It’s just a box of cereal.”
“It’s not just any cereal it’s Fruit Loops and nobody messes with Toucan Sam,” O'Neill said as he sat down in a chair.
“Are you possessive of your Fruit Loops?” asked Daniel.
“Can’t you tell by looking at the box,” Carter said.
"Oh I see now,” said Daniel, “I can’t believe you are afraid someone will steal your Fruit Loops.”
“Believe it,” O'Neill said.
“Well I have work to do before the briefing so I will see you later,” said Daniel as he left.
“If you will excuse me I think I will do my morning mediation now that I have had something to eat,” Teal'c said.
“Ok, see you at the briefing,” O'Neill said.
“I will be right back,” Carter said, “I want to get something to eat.”
Carter left to get something to eat and a few minutes later returned.
“You know something the other day your father seemed like he had an idea because he told me and I quote ‘I will leave my daughter in your capable hands.’”
“Did he say what he meant by that?” asked Carter.
“No,” O'Neill said, “All he told me was I would find out one day.”
The End of Part One.
“There’s a cave over there. Let’s head for it and figure out a way to find Sam,” Sam B./Daniel said.
“You know that may be a good idea Daniel,” O'Neill said.
“I agree,” Teal'c said.

The three of them head to the cave. Once there, O’Neill uses his commutation device to contact Gen. Hammond.
