Earth/A Distant Place on Ship called Moya:
On Earth a man by the name of Sam Beckett had once again “put right what once when wrong” and was leaping to next destination in time when some freaky happened. At the same time he was leaping, a beam of lighting hit the building where the Quantum Leap Project was. Ziggy found new that new information was entering Quantum Leap’s data banks and all of it was on aliens and even a top secret Air Force Base in Colorado. Why it was coming into the databanks was unknown. As Sam was leaping, something happened to him in mid leap. Someone or something had put some kind of permanent marker, his lifeline and link home, inside him. When he completed the leap he found himself on an alien ship. Why he had come here was unknown. Back on Earth Al and Gooshie, with the help of Ziggy, tried to figure out what happened, why it happened and why for the second time in the history of the Quantum Leap Project since Sam started leaping through time that there was no one in the waiting room.
“Why is there no one in the waiting room Gooshie?” Al asked.
“Unless Sam leaped again to the date he was born,” Gooshie said, “but that doesn’t explain why we have gotten knowledge of aliens and a top secret Air Force Base in Colorado in our data banks.”
“What to you suggest we do then?” Al asked.
“I say you grab the handlink and head to the imaging chamber,” Gooshie said, “If we can find out where Sam is it might explain a few things.”
Back on the alien ship called Moya, Sam Beckett was wondering why in the world he was sent here and where he was. He figured it must be an alien ship because it looked like something you would see in science fiction. ‘But why a ship?’ Sam thought ‘I’m not supposed to be able to leap here. I’m only suppose to leap to places in the U.S. and during my lifetime.’
On another part of the ship in Pilot’s den Pilot, an alien who was connected to the ship, detected a human life form and then contacted D’Argo to inform him of his findings.
“Ka D’Argo,” Pilot said, “I have something interesting you will want to know.”
“What is it Pilot?” D’Argo asked over the comm.
“I am detecting one human life form,” Pilot said.
“We’ll get on it right away,” D’Argo said over the comm., “I’m assuming you know what happened to John and Aeryn.”
“Yes I do D’Argo,” Pilot said.
An Underwater Village:
Underneath the world and undetected by Moya’s sensors was a large and quiet village. The people that lived there looked very much like humans. While everyone on Maya thought John Crichton and Aeryn Sun were dead, they were down here in this village but they didn’t know how they got there. Aeryn was the first to wake up. When she looked around and didn’t know where she was, she woke up John who was laying next to her.
“John,” Aeryn said, “Wake up. John.”
“What?” John asked as he looked around after waking up, “Where the frell are we Aeryn?”
“I was hoping you could answer that,” Aeryn said.
“The last thing I remember is we were in a boat and some ship was in the air,” John said, “Wynona. Who took Wynona?”
“Relax John we’ll find your pulse pistol and my ring too,” Aeryn said.
“Your ring,” John said, “Just great that was my mother’s.”
“Try and calm down John,“ Aeryn said.
“I will not calm down Aeryn,” John said.
“Please?” Aeryn asked.
“Fine,” John said, “Now let’s fine out where we are.”
Moya:
On Moya D’Argo, Rygel and the rest were searching every tier until the human was found. When D’Argo found the human he aimed his qualta blade at him and said over the comm., “Pilot we have found the human.”
“Look I‘m sure you’re wondering what I’m doing here,” Sam said, “Well my name is Sam Beckett. I’m from a planet called Earth where I’m a part of a project called Quantum Leap and I don’t know how I ended up here. I’m not supposed to be able leap to alien ships.”
“What is your purpose here?” D’Argo asked.
“I don’t know,” Sam said, “Unless I was sent here to put right what once went wrong. That’s the whole reason I leap through time. If that’s the reason then I have to figure out what that is and take care of it so I’ll be able to leave.”
D’Argo put away his qualta blade and said, “He seems trustworthy. Rygel I want you to take him around the ship. If he’s going to be around for awhile he should at least know his way around the ship.”
“Fine,” Rygel said, “Follow me. Sam Beckett is it?”
“Yes,” Sam said, “and you.”
“Rygel,” Rygel said.
Back in the Underwater Village:
After leaving the room that John Crichton and Aeyrn Sun found themselves in, since coming to this unknown place, they started walking down hallway that was dank and had not much lighting. In this stone wall and wood floor hallway the floor creaked and doors were scarce. Further down the hallway they came to a section that was larger and an abundance of lighting. To the right and left of this section were shatter proof glass walls. On the other side of the glass you could see water. Footsteps that were in the distance were heard by them and John tried to stay calm, not for himself but for Aeryn and the baby. The footsteps came closer and a mysterious person came from another section. That mysterious person had come to answer then many questions John and Aeyrn no doubt had.
“You no doubt have many questions,” the mysterious person said.
“Yes we do,” Aeyrn said.
”Do you have a name we can call you?” John asked.
“You can call me Takarin,” the mysterious person said, “Follow me and your many question will be answered.”
Back at the Quantum Leap Project:
Al was in the imaging chamber trying to found out where Sam was and he said to himself, “Where are you hiding Sam? What the-?”
Gooshie was in the control room with Ziggy trying to sort out what had come into the database when he got a call from Al.
“Gooshie,“ Al said, “I think I have found Sam. It appears he is on an alien ship.”
“Then how are we able to find him at all?” Gooshie asked.
“How am I supposed to know,” Al said, “Wait I think the handlink is picking up some kind of marker in Sam.”
“That must be how we are able to find,” Gooshie said.
“What does Ziggy say Sam has to do?” Al asked.
Back in the Underwater Village:
“You came here,” Takarin said, “because we saved you from death.”
“Thanks for that,” John said, “Now this means we can go back to Moya.”
“Not anytime soon,” Takarin said, “We have a force field in place and it can not be shut down manual.”
“Why?” Aeyrn asked.
“It was something that was in place for many cycles. It automatically shuts down for about two solar days a week. The next one won’t be for the next 2-3 solar days,” Takarin said.
“How did you save us any way?” John asked.
“We have a machine which I will show you,” Takarin said.
“How does it work?” John asked.
“It transports you to a room, the one where the machine is in,” Takarin said.
“Why were we asleep?” Aeryn asked.
“It’s something the machine does,” Takarin said, “Then we put the two of you in a room with a bed so you would be more comfortable. That’s why you found yourselves where you did. It’s the guest quarter’s room 2. We have many guest quarters because we want out guests to be comfortable while they are here.”
“Do have any ships that go above water?” Aeyrn asked.
“Yes we have multi-purpose sea ships,” Takarin said.
“Will we get to see one of these sea ships?” John asked.
“Yes,” Takarin said, “but I bet you two would like something to eat first.”
“I would,” John said.
“I will should you to the mess hall then,” Takarin said and they made there way to the mess hall, “This is the mess hall. Oh I forget one thing this.”
“What is it?” John asked as he saw Takarin pull something out of his pocket.
“It’s a map,” Takarin said, “It will help you find you way around. We call them data pad maps. The map itself will show you how to use it. If you will excuse me I will see what’s on the menu right now.”
Takarin left as he handed the map to John and John asked Aeryn, “Are you alright?”
“I’m fine. I just haven’t had anything to eat yet,” Aeryn said, “in how many ever arns we have been down here for.”
“Here,” John said finding in empty table and pulling out a chair, “Maybe you better sit down before you faint.”
“Thanks,” Aeryn said.
Back on Moya:
“So you’re from Earth?” Rygel asked Sam.
“Yes,” Sam said.
“This is the Galley where we eat,” Rygel said as he grabbed some crackers to eat.
As Rygel was eating Al Appeared to Sam and said, “Sam.”
Sam walked over to the other side of the galley and said in a low voice, “Al”
“Sam Ziggy is not clear on the date but is sure you are here to do something,” Al said.
“What?” Sam asked.
“Two people named John Crichton and Aeryn Sun are believed to be dead but they aren’t. They're actually in an underwater village,” Al said.
“You wouldn’t know how I got here would you?” Sam asked.
“Well I will tell you what happened or at least what I know about this whole thing,” Al said, “For starters there is no one in the waiting room but I guess you knew that. Oh according to Ziggy a beam of lighting hit the building at the same time you leaped. There’s some new information that come into the data banks all about aliens and some top secret Air Force base in Colorado. We also found some kind of marker inside you. That’s how we found you.”
“So if I didn’t have that marker you wouldn’t have been able to find me,” Sam said, “Right?”
“Yes,” Al said.
“Does Ziggy have anything that might be a clue to why the crew thinks this John Crichton and Aeryn Sun are dead?” Sam asked.
“Ziggy says,” Al said as he pushed some buttons on the hand link, “there is a boat outside.”
“Maybe if the boat was brought in I could look at it,” Sam said, “Rygel I would like to talk to the one with the braids, long hair and that strange looking weapon.”
Rygel said between eating crackers, “You mean D’Argo. I’ll take you to him.”
In the Underwater Village:
“Are you sure you’re alright?” John asked, “I want to make sure you are alright.”
“I’m fine. The baby’s fine,” Aeryn said, “Will you stop worrying John.”
“I’m sorry Aeryn,” John said, “but I just can’t help it.”
Takarin walked over to the table John and Aeryn where at and said, “What’s on the menu right now is sandwiches and stew.”
“That sounds good,” John said.
“Yes it is,” Takarin said, “It’s one of out most popular meals.”
“I’ll go get some then,” Aeryn said.
“You better let me do it,” John said.
“I’m very capable of doing it myself,” Aeryn said.
“But what if you were to faint or something,” John said, “Just humor me.”
“Alright,” Aeryn said frowning.
“I’ll worry about you a little less when were back on Moya,” John said as he left to get the food.
Moya:
“Pilot,” Rygel said over the comm., “Where is D’Argo?”
“D’Argo is the Docking Bay,” Pilot said over the comm.
“Thank you Pilot,” Rygel said, “Sam follow me I will take you to the Docking Bay.”
D’Argo was walking around the Docking Bay angry when Rygel and Sam walked in.
“D’Argo what the frell are you doing?” Rygel asked.
“What does it look like Rygel,” D’Argo yelled, “What did you come here for anyway?”
“Sam would like to talk to you,” Rygel said.
“Go ahead Sam,” D’Argo said.
“Well I have found out what I have to do,” Sam said, “Apparently I have to save John and Aeryn.”
“What?” Rygel and D’Argo asked.
“I have gotten some information that says John Crichton and Aeryn Sun are alive,” Sam said.
“Alive?” D’Argo asked, “How do you know this?”
“Well there is this hologram that only I can see while me, small children and animals,” Sam said.
“And that’s how you get your information,” Rygel said.
“Yes,” Sam said, “I think if we brought in the boat it might give use some clues as to what happened to John and Aeryn.”
“Fine but you do anything wrong I will personally lock you up in a holding cell. Is that clear? D’Argo asked.
“Yes, very clear,” Sam said.
The Underwater Village:
“So Aeryn have you thought of any names for the baby?” John asked.
“No,” Aeryn said, “Why do you ask?”
“I was trying to pass the time,” John said, “Oh about the ring I shouldn’t have gotten upset about it. What’s important is the love we have for each other and that we want to spend the rest of our lives our together.”
All Aeryn could do is smile at what he said and he smiled back.
Back on Moya:
“We brought the boat in,” D’Argo said, “Now what?’
“We search for clues,” Sam said.
“Noranti,” D’Argo said, “We need your help in the Docking Bay and bring Chiana too.”
“On my way,” replied Noranti over the comm.
In Medical Rejuvenation Chiana asked, “What did D’Argo want?”
“He wants us in the Docking Bay,” Noranti said, “He did not say why.”
Noranti then led a blind Chiana to the Docking Bay.
In the Docking Bay Rygel asked, “How can John and Aeryn be alive?”
“I don’t know,” Sam said, “I only know that they’re alive.”
“But if they are alive then explain what’s in the boat,” D’Argo said.
“Unless someone or something transported them somewhere and this is what got left behind on the boat to make you think they were,” Sam said.
“But that doesn’t explain the ship I saw that had some kind of weapon aimed at John and Aeryn,” D’Argo said.
“So if they are in fact as you say Sam, alive, “Rygel said, “Then someone or something must have saved them from death.”
“Well it wasn’t us,” D’Argo said.
“Yeah or I won’t be here,” Sam said at the same moment Chiana and Noranti came into the Docking Bay.
“D’Argo,” Chiana said, “What do want us for,”
“There is a man here who says John and Aeryn are alive,” said D’Argo.
“Sam Beckett is the name,” Sam said.
“Chiana,” Chiana said.
“Noranti or Old Woman,” Noranti said, “but you can called me Granny some people do.”
“Sam thinks we may find some clues in the boat,” D’Argo said.
“So have you found anything yet,” Chiana said.
“Well what I see in here is a ring, John’s pulse pistol, Wynona and Aeryn’s pulse pistol,” D’Argo said.
“And I big mess of something too,” Rygel said.
The Underwater Village:
“This,“ Takarin said, “is on of our sea ships. They are stored in this Docking Bay.”
“Is there anyway our ship can detect this underwater village?” John asked.
“None that I know of,” Takarin said, “but there may be other ways now. I don’t really keep up with that kind of information.”
“How about when the force field is down?” John asked.
“Yes your ship will be able to detect us,” Takarin said, “Excuse me I would like to make sure that this sea ship gets prepared for your return to your ship.”
John turned to Aeryn only to see her yawn and he asked, “Are you tired already?”
“I think the baby is trying to tell me something,” Aeryn said.
“You can’t be tired already,” John said.
“Are forgetting that I’m not human,” Aeryn said, “I get tired more easily then a human.”
“Yes I guess I am,” John said, “Would you like to go back to the room and lay down for a while?”
Aeryn nodded yes.
“Ok then,” John said, “Let’s see how this data padd map thing works.”
Back on Moya:
“I can take a sample of the mess in the boat and see what I can find out from it,” Noranti said.
“Do it,” D’Argo said.
Noranti took out a small jar from inside her jacket and collected a sample of the mess in the boat.
“So Sam why are you here?” Noranti asked.
“To help you find John and Aeryn,” Sam said.
“How do you know that they’re alive?” Chiana asked.
“Well there is this hologram I see and he told me that they’re alive,” Sam said.
“So you go around helping people,” Chiana said.
“That’s basically what I do,” Sam said.
“So you’re human too?” Chiana asked.
“Yes,” Sam said, “Why?”
“Just curious,” Chiana said.
The Underwater Village:
As John and Aeryn made their way back to the room with the help of the data padd map, John asked, “Are sure you’re alright Aeryn?”
“You don’t need to keep asking me that, “Aeryn yelled, “Like I said before I’m fine.”
“Well what else am I suppose to do until we get back to Moya?” John yelled.
“I don’t know," Aeryn yelled as she grabbed the data padd map out of his hand and stormed off.
John quietly followed her since she had walked off with the data padd map. He thought about saying something to her but then decided against it because he didn’t want to upset her anymore then he already did. When she had gotten to the room, he decided not to go in just yet. He wanted to figure out what he was going to say to her and it had to be something that would not upset her. When he thought of something, he entered the room and found her asleep on the bed. He grabbed a folded blanket that was at the foot of the bed and covered her up. He kissed on the forehead and sat on the floor with his back leaning against the foot of the bed.
Moya:
Have you trying scanning the planet?” Sam asked
“Yes we did,” D’Argo said.
“I would check again,” Sam said, “because I’m betting whoever saved them must be on this planet. It’s just a guess but it’s worth considering.”
“Pilot run another scan of the planet,” D’Argo said.
“My scans show nothing,” Pilot said over the comm.
"There has to be something,” Sam said, “Are there any ships in the area?”
“Pilot are there any ships in the area?” D’Argo asked.
“My scans show no ships in the area,” Pilot said over the comm.
“That means the ship you saw is gone,” Sam said.
Noranti walked into the Docking Bay and said, “Crichton and Aeryn are alive.”
“You got all that from the sample you took,” Sam said.
Noranti nodded yes.
“My suggestion is we run scans every hour until we find something,” Sam said.
“Pilot,” D’Argo said, “I want you to run scans every arn until we find something.”
“Understood,” Pilot said over the comm.
“What do we do now?” Chiana asked.
“We wait,” D’Argo said.
“I’ll be in the Galley,” Rygel said as rode off in his thronesled.
D’Argo bent down, picked up the ring that was in the mess and just stared at it.
Al appeared on the ship and said to Sam, “It seems as if something will happen in the next two days that prevents Aeryn and John from returning to Moya.”
“So if I can figure out what that is, prevent it happening and make sure Aeryn and John return to this ship in one piece,” Sam said, “I can leap.”
“Yes,” Al said, “but you will get little help from Ziggy because Ziggy knows very little about that.”
“If Ziggy finds anything else out let me know,” Sam said.
“Will do Sam,” Al said as he opened the imaging chamber door with a push of a button on the handlink.
The Underwater Village:
John heard Aeryn stir in her sleep and got up to check on her but sat back down when she settle back down. Rather than wake her up now he decided to wait until she woke up on her own because he didn’t want to upset her any further and wanted to make sure he had what he wanted to say ready. When she did wake up he was ready to apologize.
“Let me apologize for the way I acted. I can’t help but worry about you. You are the most important person in my life and I don’t want anything bad to happen to you and the baby,” John said.
Aeryn didn’t say anything. There was no need to. She got up off the bed, sat next to John and put her head on his left shoulder. He wrapped an arm around her back and just held her. John had broken the silence by saying with a smile, “I’m glad I love you.”
“So am I,” Aeryn said smiling and then she felt something.
John looked at her with a concerned face.
“Your hand please,” Aeryn said smiling again.
“Why?” John asked.
Aeryn didn’t answer him but instead took his free hand and placed it on her stomach. Then she said, “This is why?”
All he could do was kiss her on the cheek and smile at her.
Moya:
D’Argo entered the Galley and said to Rygel, “There better be some food left.”
“Is that all you think I do?” Rygel asked.
“Yes. That and sleep,” D’Argo said.
“I was done in here anyway. I think I’ll go see what go see what Pilot is doing,” Rygel said.
In the Docking Bay, Sam was pacing back and forth trying to figure out what or who would try to prevent John and Aeryn from returning to their ship. He would have to ask the others because he should have known he wouldn’t be able to figure it out. He hadn’t been here long enough to know what that answer was.
“Chiana do you know anyone who would what to prevent your friends from returning to this ship?” Sam asked.
“Why?” Chiana.
“I think someone will attempt to prevent them from returning,” Sam said.
“Are you sure?” Chiana asked.
“Yes,” Sam said.
“We have to tell D’Argo,” Chiana said.
In Pilot’s Den, Rygel rode in and asked Pilot, “Anything on scans?”
“Nothing yet,” Pilot said.
Back in the Docking Bay Chiana said over the comm., “D’Argo.”
“What?” yelled D’Argo over the comm.
“Sam thinks someone will try to prevent John and Aeryn from returning,” Chiana said.
“Is he sure?” D’Argo asked.
“I’m sure,” Sam said to Chiana.
“Yes,” Chiana said to D’Argo.
“I’m going to Pilot’s Den and I am not leaving until Pilot finds something,” D’Argo said.
The next day on Moya D’Argo saw through Moya’s view screen a ship moving across the water and asked Pilot, “Do you pick up that ship out there on your scans?”
“Yes,” Pilot said.
“Do you know it’s doing?” D’Argo asked.
“No,” Pilot said.
“We need to stop them. They may be the ones trying to stop John and Aeryn’s return,” D’Argo said.
“Look who I found hiding in the Maintenance Bay,” Rygel said as he rode in.
“Stark. We could have used your help,” D’Argo yelled.
“Is that what I think it could be?” Sam asked as he walked in and saw the ship through Moya’s view screen.
“I think it might be,” D’Argo said, “and we have to stop whatever it’s doing.”
“How?” Sam asked
“Any suggestions?” D’Argo asked.
The Underwater Village:
“Aeryn,” John said as he walked over to the side of the bed she was sleeping on, “Wake up. Oh Aeryn wake up.”
Aeryn woke with a yawn and turned face John.
“It’s about time you woke up,” John said.
“I was tired,“ Aeryn said.
“Takarin says the force field could shut down at anytime so I thought I would wake you up and see if you and the baby are hungry,” John said.
Aeryn felt the baby move and said smiling, “It seems the baby is in agreement with the reason you woke us up.”
“Then let’s go,” John said.
“Just let me put on my boots,” Aeryn said as she got up to put on her boots.
Moya:
D’Argo was asking for suggestions when Sam saw Al appear. Sam looked at Al and Al said, “Sam Ziggy says you have a 10% chance of leaping.”
“What about your ship?” Stark asked.
“My ship?” D’Argo asked.
”Your ship does have weapons,” Stark said.
“Ziggy now says you have a 30% chance of leaping,” Al said to Sam.
“Couldn’t you blow the ship up,” Sam said, “That would stop it for sure.”
“Pilot,” D’Argo said, “Would it be possible for my ship to exit Moya?”
Pilot looked at D’Argo said, “Unknown.”
“Why should that be a problem?” Sam asked.
“This ship is half submerged in water,” Pilot said.
“I’m going to take the risk,” D’Argo said.
“Are you sure D’Argo?” Chiana asked from the spot she was sitting on in front of Pilot’s console, “I mean something could happen to you.”
“It’s a risk I’m willing to take if it brings back John and Aeryn,” D’Argo said before leaving Pilot’s den and heading to the Docking Bay were his ship was.
Pilot opened the Docking Bay doors when D’Argo was ready to leave. D’Argo left Moya and headed straight for that ship he had seen through the window in Pilot’s Den. When he neared the ship, he ran scans to find out what it was doing but they didn’t tell him what he wanted to know. He told Pilot he would try and disable that ships engines figuring it might keep them busy fixing their engines instead of what they really were there to do. He scanned for engines on that ship and fired a blast that knocked out their engines.
Back on Moya, Al told Sam his chance of leaping was increasing to a high rate.
“What does Ziggy say about that ship out there?” Sam asked.
“Ziggy knows only what this ship has in its data banks which is very little. Ziggy also says they never find out why that ship was there and what it was doing,” Al said.
Everyone could see through Moya’s view screen that D’Argo was moving his ship back to Moya but he didn’t enter Moya because he wanted to make sure it worked.
The Underwater Village:
John and Aeryn had finished their meal when Takarin came in to tell them they could board the sea ship. They got up and followed Takarin to the sea ship, which would take them home to Moya. When they entered the ship they took a seat and said their goodbyes to Takarin. Before he left he told the pilot of the ship to get under way as soon as the force field was down. Aeryn got comfortable by leaning against John’s chest while they waited for the ship to get under way and John wrapped an arm around her. Takarin’s voice could be heard over a speaker telling the pilot the force field was down and to get under way immediately.
Moya:
“D’Argo do you see that ship coming up from the water,” Pilot said over the comm.
“Yes,” D’Argo said, “My scans are detecting life forms living under the water.”
“Then I was right,” Sam said.
“Not quite,” D’Argo said over the comm., “We still don’t know if it has anything to do with John and Aeryn.”
“I’m unable to scan the ship,” Pilot said.
“I can’t either,” D’Argo said.
Just as Pilot was about to contact the ship two people appeared in Pilot’s Den.
“D’Argo return to the ship,” Pilot said as the ship that they’d seen come up from the water spiral back beneath the water.
“Why?” D’Argo asked over the comm.
“John and Aeryn,” Pilot said, “are on the ship.”
“Returning to the ship now,” D’Argo said.
“Get ready to leap Sam,” Al said.
“Well I’ll be leaving soon because my work is done here,” Sam said, “All I have to say is this leap was interesting.”
“Pilot who is he?” John asked.
Before Sam could answer him a blue light surrounded him as he leaped.
“He’s like you,” Pilot said.
“Like me. How?” John asked.
“He’s from your planet,” Rygel said.
“What else did he tell you?” John asked.
Everyone who was in the room who knew something told him what they knew about Sam Beckett.
“I have never heard of the Quantum Leap Project,” John said, “but that could be one of those top secret projects that are on my planet.”
“Top secret?” Chiana asked.
“Something that the public isn’t supposed to know about,” John said, “What I was apart of is cover up for those.”
D’Argo walked into Pilot’s Den with something in his hand and told John he had something for him. John walked over to D’Argo, grabbed that something and walked back to Aeryn.
“I think something is missing from that left hand of yours,” John said as he grabbed her left hand and slid the ring back on her ring finger while she smiled. He gave Aeryn a quick kiss and turned to D’Argo, “Now what about Wynona.”
D’Argo told John he could find he could find the rest of the stuff in his quarters. Everyone agreed to let Pilot rest a little a while longer and in the morning they would leave the planet. Later in the Galley, everyone was discussing what happened the passed few days and Rygel was being himself and doing what he did, which was eat more then his fair share of food.
“Hey Buckweed you’re going to have to stop doing that,” John said.
“Why should I?” Rygel asked.
“Because Aeryn is going to need it,” John said.
“Unless you want me to use my frelled hormones on you,” Aeryn said.
Rygel stopped eating almost immediately and rode out of the Galley.
“So are you two really getting married?” Chiana asked.
“Yes,” Aeryn said smiling.
“That,” John said grinning at Aeryn, “and having a baby.”
“D’Argo said you were standing up in the boat angry,” Chiana said.
“For what it’s worth I was not angry,” John said, “I was happy.”
“Have you made any plans to a marriage ceremony?” Chiana asked.
“We just got back to Moya,” Aeryn said, “but we’ll let you know.”
D’Argo walked into the Galley and said, “Pilot says we should be at the planet in a few solar days.”
“We’ll leave the two of you alone,” John said as he and Aeryn left.
“If this diagnosan can’t fix your eyes. I won’t rest until we find one that does,” D’Argo said.
“But what if we can't D’Argo?" Chiana asked as D’Argo pulled her into a hug.
“We will Chiana I promise,” D’Argo said even thou it was uncertain whether he could or not but he would try to.
In Pilot’s Den, John was sitting in the front of Pilot’s console holding Aeryn just enjoying the moment.
“Chiana seems very worried that she will be blind for the rest of her life,” Aeryn said.
“Yeah but D’Argo will do anything to get her eyes fixed,” John said.
“It just shows how much D’Argo cares for her,” Aeryn said as she leaned back and rested her head near John’s shoulder.
After a few more minutes of talking he looked at Aeryn and found her asleep. He got her settled in his arms so he could carry her to bed.
John said to Pilot as he carried Aeryn out of the room, “Pilot was I that boring to deserve a woman falling asleep on me. No don’t answer that.”
He knew the answer to that and it had nothing to do with the conversion they were having. He smiled down at her sleeping form in his arms as he continued to carry her to bed.
The End
The End
